Agree but just in the last week or so, obviously with some extreme examples all over the country, there's just been a really odd atmosphere, even more so
Try using it once in a while tightwad! Can't use mine at the minute, I've just rang the ticket office to book Sheff Wed tickets and their system is down. Modern life. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Wait, 2w, do cheques still exist in the UK? Genuinely haven't seen or used them for over twenty years..
It's all I use mate, I only use cash in taxi's because I can't be arsed messing about with the link they send you.
They still exist, but barely anyone uses them (mainly businesses), they accounted for only half of one percent of UK payments last year. I can't remember when I last had a chequebook, but it must be over ten years ago.
Yup, and it will only get worse as kids see it and start to copy. Had some bloke chasing me in his car not long ago because I had gone past him in the bus lane. When I stopped he was trying his best to put my window through and smash my wing mirror off, all in front of his kids. A few years ago I'd have leathered him but I've got way too much to lose now. I went to the old bill who questioned me and asked why I had cut him up. I had to sit there explaining how bus lanes work and that if I am travelling down one he has no right to come across me once the lane finishes. Took me an hour in Clough Road with pen and paper trying to explain the rules to this copper. He eventually came back and accepted I am right but perhaps should not use the bus lanes to avoid further hassle. Couldn't believe that was his advice and conclusion to the matter. He also said if I want to pursue the other guy for damages I would need to show damage on my car. Luckily the car was too much for action man to beat and there was no damage at all. Getting some of those camera installed next week, it's the only way to protect yourself and your property
Is there a hefty handling charge on them now or are they still free to use? Queuing up to pay them in to my bank account on a Saturday morning, and then four days for them to clear... That's something from the past that I'm happy are staying there. Online banking is one of the best time saving creations via the internet... Just have to be careful not to give your details out when an Indian from Microsoft calls to let you know that there's been a burst water pipe and your account has flooded, so they need your details to move the cash.
You can scan the code on a cheque and pay it in via online banking without visiting the bank, I'm old school and was in town anyway. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Was it a Saab 9-5, I bet it was a Saab 9-5. My mate had one and crashed into a fiesta. Fiesta was a total write off, barely a scratch on the Saab.
