Been out all night, just home and only seen the result. Any chance of a quick summary?

11 changes, Hjelde captain, Mundle easily MOTM, Rusyn invisible, Rigg and Aouchiche decent, Ba came on and obviously not fit, Embleton tried but didn't impress, they played like they'd all met in the dressing room and it was a fair result ...

... fabulous goal from Mundle, guaranteed to be on the bench at Cardiff.

Was a pretty poor performance but i suspect if every team in the championship played a back up 11 then it would be similar

Mundle is looking very good, he is so similar to Clarke and looked a class above (a few levels above) than anyone else on the pitch

Def need a few more signings and we have to sell or loan out some of our players

Only Mundle was decent. Everyone else was below part. Rigg was poor for me as well as AA.

Pembele was once again the worst on pitch. Needs moving on and I hope the move back to France works out asap.

Was just thinking the same myself, Embleton by the looks of it. Most of our starting midfielders wouldn’t of made that pass :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I liked Chris Riggs run into the box on that goal as well as AA 's pass forward , think I was the first person to single Mundle out on the build up to this game but I may be wrong, often am. Would not surprise me tho, if he developed into a top striker, and I would add that his rise does not necessarily mean the end of Super Jack. They are not carbon copies and their is no law against them playing in the same team..

I think we have Jacky until January.

If we in the shake up, hopefully beyond.

I have nowt but my instinct to support this like.

Mundle was written off by many who'd have had him leave the club ...

... Hume was the same until he was given a run of games.

I suspect Aouchiche, Mayenda and Hemir would be on a few lists to peddle. These are all young lads who are settling in just as Amad had to do, he looked weak and ineffective at first.

It's like a race to see who's first to declare someone shyte at times ...

... these are low risk, low cost, players who need time, there's no massive rush to get them out imo. Of course we should be evaluating players but there'd be quite a few babies thrown out with the bathwater if the supporters had a say.

Amad didn’t even look up to Scottish League and look where he blossomed to mate.

I don’t think there’s a single one of them that is ready to bin yet.

If a struggling player has been given a run in the team, is on big wages and around the 28/29yo mark then I'd be looking to get them out of the club. But some of these lads are only just finding their feet. Hemir is on quite a few hit lists but we all know there's talent and potential there. It's up to the coaches to bring out the performances ...

... he already has the build and athleticism but needs to apply himself properly.

He's shown he can find space, head the ball and hit a ball more sweetly than I ever saw Ross Stewart manage.

He'll be a player, at some point and some club, I just hope it's us.

Couldn’t agree more mate. I retain all of my faith in the lad.

I do think the handling at the start of last season set him back. He didn’t need singled out, he needed quietly taken aside and sent out on loan.

New gaffer, new slate, get him out playing games.

I thought so, he has the vision and ability for that kind of pass.

Mundle strikes me as quite a determined young lad having turned down Spurs to look for first team football.

He must have quite some confidence in his ability ...

... and that's something you can't just give someone.

Good point, just needs coaxing out and the club could reap enormous benefit , possibly the arrival and treatment of Burstow set him and the club back a bit, and TM handled him badly imo. But If a bit of the O/9 spirit could rubb off, he could become the best striker in the championship imo.

Completely agree, these players need time. I'm very supportive of that, as I'd much rather be competing at the top of the Championship than tryng to stem the tide at the bottom of the PL.
However, some of our fans are desperate for promotion and all they see is us going into our 3rd season in this league and they don't have the patience for anything other than a top two finish.
RLB has to develop and improve these young players, so that they become competitive and effectual players at the top of this league,.... some of whom have been here for a while already,....and those who can't cut it, will have to go.
For his part, KS has to give him at least a ready-made striker, maybe two, at the very minimum, and soon. If that happens, I'm not saying promotion, but I don't fear anyone, and I think we'll be the team to beat this year.

I couldn't watch the match Smug, on my jollies in Menorca, but I watched the replay this morning on my phone and it was a great goal. From what I have read about the game and watching his goal it looks like Mundle has had a good pre season and will be a bigger part of the first team next season
