Keeper looked unsighted by the wall. Was a peach. Up and over. He needs to do that more often as that's what's lacking from his game to reach the next level.
Came away with a draw against better opposition, with a depleted squad who are still learning a completely new playing style and mentality. We were never going to be the finished article yet but I think the signs are fairly promising at the moment. You can see what we're trying to do and on occasions we're doing it quite well. If people bear in mind the current situation we're in then it should be difficult to be too negative about it. Oh, and it was a friendly as well.
I have a tendency to agree. The gloves haven't come off yet and he needs time. I think if the owner hadn't trashed the best finish we'd had in nearly a decade and named names, there would perhaps be an easier transition. I hope his confidence in yet another new (3rd in 2 1/2 years) approach is well founded. I hope the new manager does well, I'm certain he'll be backed, but it seems like schoolboy tactics to me. And I just hope we become a bit more savvy when it actually gets competitive with points on the line.
Completely forgot that we had a game last night, so only saw the last half hour, which sounds like it was a blessing but I thought some of the stuff we played in that period was excellent. Some slick passing and movement with Macca, Jacob and Longman having particularly good spells alongside Omur and Slater. Felt a bit more promising, with hopefully a few good players coming in soon.
I disagree. When Slater passed back to Pandur for that corner, Walter threw his hands up in the air. It will take more time for some of our players to unlearn Roseniors safety first.
Silly **** must have made about ten of the last 20 posts just waffling **** in his ****hole pissed and lonely as usual
"Every half is important for us to play," he said after admitting the first period wasn't up to standard," the German continued. "The first half the lads seemed a little a bit tired because we had a really intense four weeks. The whole pre-season, we did a good job and they worked hard and that's what it seemed like in the first half especially. "After the second goal, we went back to the game because we were more brave, we played more out of our possession, we were better in the pressing moments and we were better in regaining the ball, so I'm really impressed because that's all about mentality. "We conceded before but they kept going and they kept strong so I'm really impressed with the game they played especially with high intensity with the ball."
