Cos im a bit of a dull person i just worked out a season average of 7.3

More than just the Tilke tracks, look at the rating for the season from Monza onwards. This season was fantastic at first, but tailed off pretty badly.

I reckon for next year we need to involve (Worst number 2 driver in top 4 team-RBR,McLaren,Ferrari,Mercedes) as I see Webber has never been voted once as the worst driver of the race, probably being saved by some amazing howlers from lower tier drivers.

I could go for worst driver from the top 4, but next season the Mclaren and Mercedes number 2 drivers could well be unclear. Webber has managed to escape but I see poor Massa has got it <laugh>

Its because he never had a shocker. He was just consistantly underwhelming.

Also interesting to see that our top five races were all won by British drivers, and races in first half of the season were generally rated higher than those in the second half - perhaps because were getting tired of the same winner, a predictable championship, more predictability with the tyres and the same easy DRS overtakes.

Expectations and excitement of the unknown perhaps? - Followed by predictability and a foregone conclusion? I think you've hit on an interesting facet of this voting system, Julius; in that it says much about voting psychology.

I think Julius has answered this adequately.

    Good points here Forza.

Next time I'm bored I may be sad and work out how my ratings compare with the general consensus.

I will be intrigued as to how the first few races of this year are recieved. Perhaps now is the real test for Kers, DRS and Pirelli. If they can stay exciting without that air of the unknown you mention.

We can never be excatly sure while F1 is being dominated by one man, because as the F1 fanatic artile Forza posted points out battles for the lead have produced high ratings and the loss of hope in the championship battle and individual races may have been the higher cause for the dip of interest (which i can admit i was definately feeling towards the end)
