I see the "anti communists" have burned down a Hospital and a police station in Venezuela They don't like democracy ,do they...
The battle lines are drawn If you support Trump you love Putin If you support Harris you love the Ayatollah
Rachel Reeves is obviously going for some sort of Biggest Liar award. She complains about the £22bn black hole in the accounts left by the Tories, despite having had access to the public accounts for years in Parliament but neglects to mention the black hole left in the accounts by Gordon Brown in 2010, including those billions in PFI agreements that still have to be paid for another 25 years. Can anyone remember bailing out the banks in 2009 or selling off the nation’s gold at rock bottom prices? Pensioners look an easy target as most of them are probably Tory voters and if they all drop dead then look at the money that will be saved in benefits paid to pensioners and reduced GP appointments. It seems probable that the freeze on fuel duty is going to disappear so motorists will be paying more taxes. Of course truck drivers will be paying more taxes too so that will lead to inflation as transport costs rise and are passed on to customers. Finally it seems that road tax is going to be charged on EVs. That seems only fair as they are heavier than ICE vehicles and cause more wear and tear on the roads. Of course this will be yet another disincentive to buy an EV, so the real losers here are probably going to be Chinese EV manufacturers that want to flood the market with cheap models, wiping out the domestic manufacturing industry. Oh dear, what about all those well paid jobs in the green technologies that were promised...
Venezuela’s dictator narrowly wins re-election after ‘109pc of votes’ counted Kamala Harris should get onto the people that organised the vote count for Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela. You would think that the official State TV organisation would manage to get somebody in to do the graphics that could add up. Clearly they had Diane Abbott doing it. The TV result vote added up to 109% and the official result added up to 132% as eight opposition parties all managed to get exactly 4.6% of the vote each. John Curtice was obviously banned from entering Venezuela as before the election Maduro had banned one opposition leader, María Corina Machado, from even standing and was still trailing the other guy Edmundo González in the polls. On the day Maduro got 51% of the vote compared to 44% for his rival. That extra 9% that posted their votes early before they died clearly made a huge difference. Any word on when Sir Keir Starmer is phoning to congratulate him on his victory? Vladimir Putin congratulated him.
Different government, same policies. Go after the pensioners and force people on benefits back into work. The only difference is when the Tories do it, they’re heartless bastards who take it out on the working classes. When Labour do it, it’s for the good of the economy or something and them lazy bastards on benefits should be working, anyway.
The Home Secretary talks of tackling violence against women, but is silent about men beating up women being an Olympic Sport.
