Thought I’d take a trip out for this one to see our new signings . Anyone know if Walton Street car park is open.
Did everyone see the announcement from the club that its sit where you like because they’re not opening north or south stands? that has the potential of going as well as it does on the trains when they change rolling stock at the last minute and some stroppy bastard insists on having the seat they reserved.
That'd be nice, but I worry that this team just has a deep-rooted goal-shyness that may take a while yet to resolve regardless of tactics and personnel. Almost psychological. It just seems like whenever we break into space and have men over we'll pick the wrong pass or hesitate and the chance will disappear. I hope I'm wrong and Walter is the man to change this, but I'm not sure I see it in the short term at least.
Looking forward to the game, it will be interesting who Tim puts at LB. It could be Coyle and Drameh on the right, or will he stick with Jacob?
Id imagine Coyle left and Drameh right. I would like to see the left back we spent £4m on, at left back at some point though
I think part of the problem is that at Championship level we just haven't had a top quality, consistent, 20+ goals a season striker for almost 10 years when Abel Hernandez was here. Oscar looked the part for a month the season before last but obviously that didn't play out longer term. Otherwise it's been our Premier League quality wingers (Bowen and KLP) who've looked our best bets goal wise. Oh for a centre forward who actually scores goals. We've rarely hit those heights though.
