I watched Korea and Japan women's archery yesterday. Then some mountain biking. That was more little more interesting Then some swimming which wasn't great. Women's rugby 7s Bit of rowing on and off. Bit of kayaking. The full f1 race from spa then took over. I watched peaty have a **** start and recovered to take 2nd so that was about it. 9h and the 3 day eventing had some horsed jumping through water and a giant deers antlers. I didnt see anyone beat a horse though.
Are you just showing me that particular video or saying it's the official Olympics account? (Because it's not the official account.)
You're kidding me right...... You sure it's not the Official account, I mean its got Olympics in it.... has to be. Going back to the original point that it was really **** for the people that paid
Because you replied to my post about the account being deleted I wasn't sure if you were saying - no it hasn't, look .... or .... you were posting a video to show what a damp squib the ceremony was, hence me asking the question (which you've answered)
Just watching the women’s bmx, god was very anticlimactic. Just peddling around a bit and going up and down jumps with now and then just doing a little twist of the wheel. Nothing really happens. Was expecting some flips or something.
Overall I'd say its not a great addition to the Olympics. Most casual viewers (which most people will be watching Olympics, including myself) don't have enough knowledge about it. It's not a very thrilling sport to watch and yet again it is another sport that relies on a subjective opinion to score it. Compare it to another newer addition, Rugby 7s which fits in perfectly. Its fast, entertaining, people understand it enough to know whats going on and there is a clear winner at the end.
To me it’s similar to the half pipe type events in skateboarding or snowboarding in Winter Olympics. Just think in those you see some outrageous spins/somersaults etc. then you watch bmx and they barely get any height and just take their hands off the wheel for 0.3 seconds then land again. Don’t get me wrong I’d die trying to do what they do but was all just bit disappointing from a trick perspective. Its one where you look and go, I reckon with a few months practise I could do that. compared to the gymnastics where you go absolutely no chance, no idea what’s happening but not a hells chance I’d ever be able to recreate that
Ok so turns out the mens bmx (at least the French guy I just saw) is 1000 times better than the women’s one. Proper spins flips etc. that’s what I was expecting to see and was actually entertaining.
