It's an absolute tragedy however it is spun. I can't get close to imagining what those that were there must be still going through. RIP little ones, it certainly wasn't your fault. In the post that DMD quoted, it states that the suspect was born in Cardiff. Which would go against the rumour.

I've now read 10+ outlets about this horrific event. All give plenty of detail about the events - "everything we know" ... except it really isn't, as it's bar one component about which they only give the party line of where he had recently been living and that he had previously lived in Cardiff. Only 1 outlet steps outside the party line and gives known info about his background. Odd that. And so it goes on.
Constantly being told not to speculate or spread rumours on social media, the easiest way to stop that would be for the officials to release the correct information.
They will hardly be likely to say anything to the contrary. This is an incendiary situation. The truth will out..
I'm no expert but in my experience they can't. The monster is 17,he's classed as a child/youth,he can't be named due to Court restrictions etc. Not 'if' but 'when' he is convicted,the Judge can then make the decision to allow him to be named.Then,and only then,people can start digging into his past.That changes nothing for me,he's committed the most heinous of crimes and there are several families out there who are trying to come to terms with their loss...Hopefully the horrific toll doesn't increase over the next day or two,there's enough broken hearts as it stands.
Born in Cardiff, moved to the Southport area hen he was six, according to the reports I’ve read. Though none of it’s clear, which is why all the speculation is unhealthy.
As far as I know that is correct, which is why I asked earlier if you are still a child at 17. EDIT. I also replied to an earlier post that said they had got him (refaring to the arrest) with they haven't got him enough, if you know what I mean.
