    Pennies.
It's just an energiser (a transformer and a big capacitor) and a leisure battery. The energiser turns 12 v into 7000+ volts and pulses every few seconds.
We have a variety of batteries from 75-110 amp hours. They cost about 50p to charge and will last a couple weeks.
The leisure batteries are like car batteries but with thicker plates so you can deep cycle them. Run them flat, charge them up.
Car batteries need continuous trickle charging and don't like being flattened.

The energiser is the green thing on the post.
    Simple but effective, usually.

£100-150 for the energiser, £75-120 for the battery, depending on spec.

    Just trying to please.

Reminds me of when Mrs BfB's sister lived in Florida. Milk on breakfast cereal, nah, rum.

Permanently pissed. Great times, sun, swimming pool, bbq, wine, beer, rum. Then we eased off for lunch. Then repeat.

Very inconsiderate of them, returning to the UK.

    Off on hols tomorrow.
    Into the heart of Wales.
    Hence the compressed work load.
    Another 6 hours done today.
Cut the grass at home and done.
29 degrees here. Felt a lot hotter on the tractor. A greenhouse on wheels.
One of the few days of the year that I wish the aircon wasn't broken.

3 miles south of Rhayader, so not far from there.
I'm sure we'll have a drive around the lakes at some point.

They've got WiFi down there now, so I'll be able to keep an eye on what you reprobates are up to.

After 10 years in Bristol and 27 in Cheshire, I still can't get used to the flat.
Nice to have a week in mid-Wales, binging on mountains.:emoticon-0137-clapp

Ah but you'll be able to manage them with ease after your intake of Welshness.

Sheep issues not getting any better.
4 dead in the last 3 days.
Mrs Remote got an autopsy done on the last one. Vet did it in the field. I had the pleasure of clearing up the mess tonight by tractor flood lights. It hadn't been stitched back up, so the cure all, baling twine, was used to keep everything in while I got it in the tractor bucket. Dont want to see the inside of any more sheep thanks .:emoticon-0119-puke:

Still none the wiser as to the cause.:emoticon-0145-shake
    That's the worrying bit.

I hope all your other sheep remain healthy and that this is the last. It must be worrying when the cause is not known.

    Oh that’s awful Remote.
As I’ve said before I envy your lifestyle and would have loved to do what you do when I was younger.
However I don’t know how I would cope with this. Mrs Remote sounds like she’s on top of things. I hope there’s nothing more sinister to the sheep’s deaths. Keep us updated please.
