borrow to get out of debt then.. a feel good factor with a dire consequence! labour in the past have always turned to borrowing to make it seem like they achieving something!!!

If you ran your home/family finances as labour seems to do then who would you have to bail you out ?

I sold finance in the 80's and was licenced ... the one thing that was always paramount you cannot borrow out of debt... you can consolidate debt and borrow to make a regular payment that is less over a longer term...BUT you have to have the ability to to repay at some point...... .GOV's "earnings come from tax [ mainly ] so beware of their promises on dodgy projects that will so called "be their "additional" income, most of the so called plans are one off's that cost a lot to set up! with very little prospect of much in return .........

bear in mind the hospital building and upgrading plans of the last .gov is already "accounted for" so if in 12 month's 18 month's Labour start saying "we have just provided x number of hospitals etc they havent! ...its already in motion as is staffing levels / NHS & Police ............... SO FAR THEIR PLANS [ if you can call them that have / will cost money .. not made / make it ]
The higher wages that drove inflation now yields more income tax etc a massive bonus on last years tax income! Of course this bounty was the income that previous .gov fiscal budgetting allows for the projects in hand to be completed............
note to Labour no gold to sell this time round ... no massive oil revenues like last time round ...

Part of running your household finances is keeping the fabric of the house maintained. The trouble is because of lack of investment and maintenance over the last 14 years the roof of the house is leaking, water is pouring in, the drains are broken and sewage is all over the place, and the walls are falling in as they’ve had no maintenance , unless money is spent to make these repairs the house instead of being an asset becomes derelict.

it is a pity then that for 9 years [ from Labour 2010 ] we had to suffer because there was a massive hole in the finances to be repaid before UK could attend to any repairs ... then a terrible couple years where without massive spending on individuals of the UK POPULATION TO KEEP JOBS OPEN AND WORKERS IN EMPLOY ... COVID..... and just when it was sorted and getting back on track for an easier life .. repairs maintenance [ beyond those bits already being started in the covid years to get / keep people working energy crisis and Ukraine ... so no money in kitty to help the UK population with cash handouts and subsidised energy bills...... but that leaky roof was actually keeping the water out ... and progress was being made to ensure the sticky patch's allowable with so many unforseen additional bills were starting to be replaced.

September we will know the Tory inflation figure and track ... also the interest rate and track [ up? down? or stable! ] down or stable is a fantastic achievement!.................

the .gov has stopped publishing the small boat crossings last reported figure was 114 on 21st July which fits in with comments of the "free passes for ......."
Various sources have commented on the numbers arriving since this date ... up to this date a daily number was published by previous .gov and present .gov from 5th July which showed circa 2000 having landed! [5th july to to 21st ]

    Is anyone surprised ?
Labour and the left want continued mass immigration to swamp the UK with people who have no right to be here despite the fact that our systems and infrastructure can’t cope with genuine citizens and the number of free loaders already
Any honeymoon period that Labour had is already well and truly over
What will the population of the UK be after 5 years of this ? 75,000,000? 80,000,000

Try comparing this time of year v this time of year last year. It will no doubt be weather depending as I’m sure they never thought “labours in power so let’s go”

this will be an eye opener .......

The chancellor will tell Parliament that this requires “immediate action” to restore economic stability and “fix the foundations of our economy”.
Projects that could be paused or cancelled include: the road tunnel under Stonehenge, Boris Johnson’s New Hospital programme and the Euston section of HS2.

think of the job losses ......... think of the detriment to the NHS system ... [ Swindons Hospital shows the benefit of Boris' foresight ] think of the pollution and "cost " on the A303 ..

In the build up of the / to the GE the PUBLIC WERE WARNED " LABOUR PLANS [ as such ] WERE FLAWED AND NOT COSTED!

If it aint broke dont try to fix it outgoing .GOV said the path is a slow and steady one ... inflation has come down interest rates should for AUGUST .. well BOE said will hold for another couple month's to ensure inflation is stabilizing .... SHOULD BE AT LEAST 5% IN A FEW WEEKS!!!

So what your saying is all labour has to do to fix things Is leave things as they are? , forget there’s no places left in prisons, leave waiting lists for the NHS, leave sh!t in our rivers, etc. , that’s just plane daft!

Reeves pre election lies will start to become apparent later today.......following the idiot Ed Milliband last week reneging on his pre election promise of an annual £300 reduction of our energy bills.
All Reeves kept on about a few weeks ago was the panacea of Growth and the electorate bought it.
Worse will come in the Autumn statement and beyond.

Starmer will wake up soon about his mate Mick Lynch and the Doctors.

    It's so easy in opposition.

You’re wasting your time RoD, it’s no good talking sense to him. He’s convinced anything good that’s happened in the weeks that Labour been in power is due to the Tory’s setting things up well before they were defeated, but anything bad is due to Labour, despite them only being in for three weeks. Don’t be fooled by his attempts to suggest he’s reasonable, he isn’t.

thats what LABOUR CANCELLED first day in office the plane.... then they go about what it "cost" emphasis on what not what it is going to cost!

NHS... ROME was not built in a day, and the last .GOV never said we will sort it all out in a week or 2 but "we have put the wheels in motion" to get everything tidily sorted ... like police numbers up nurses up hospitals upgraded and in process of being built [ REMEMBER... Boris said all this [ 2019 ] before almost £1trn was spent out on Covid and energy crisis ] and its being /has been partially done prior to 04/07/2024

Labour has these weird plans for immigration/ GBE and likely GBR ... but they concentrate on what they think the future might do for them [ without having any funding to back it up ] because the economy has been set to sort out all your Labourised ideals of "its broken" ...even glue needs time to set / cure.

isuspect the present.gov/cabinet is really pi$$$ed orf as they realise everything is [ was ] ticking over properly and their need to say something different in their manifesto is pie in the sky!

prisons are a problem agreed and some of the relaxed laws over the past 25 years have not helped ... but why are they shutting prisons down?

They deserve it-the hours they work and the costs the incur during training accommodation-exams-books- it is mind boggling but they have to pay it all back.

i know i see what my son has been paid over the last eight years and what has to pay back-yet illegals get free NHS -homes-money all at our expense.

    So wrong.
