Actually, tbf I misread it The club followed up on a recommendation from one of the top coaches in Jamaica, not the top Scout in Wrexham.
I’ve seen a few videos of a guy that has a sweet left foot in Manchester recently who will shortly be on the market maybe we can look at him.
Harry Isted being sold to Burton. Sensible business by the club - he never impressed for us. Hopefully paves the way for Begovic to join.
Assuming that we sign Begovic this week, our strongest starting X1 v Wigan is as follows (3-5-2) Begovic Jones Mitchell Gillesphey Edmonds Coventry Docherty Berry Small Ahadme Godden Is that a top 6 starting line up
Didn't see the Wombles game, we were pretty rank by all accounts. If we still have problems in midfield after the summer activity it doesn't bode well. Next Saturday should tell us more.

As most of you already have gathered I’m a simple man. And simply we have a poorer squad than last season based on nothing more than my simple opinion. This a collective clusterfcuk and we are two weeks away from season start and we are now banking on loans
It's the truth. CAFC squad is now weaker than the one which finished 16th last season after being out of the bottom 4 on goal difference around the time NJ took over. And the new season kicks off in less than three weeks. Even if we do bag a couple of quality players - which I very seriously doubt - they'll have had no pre-season and they'll miss the first few matches. It's the same old story.
Even though we may have a weaker squad, we are going to do better than we did last season. Although that's not saying much. I find it impossible to even consider we keep less that what 4 clean sheets in the season again
My main concern is that NJ in his own words wants a team that will over run and over power teams this season - a high tempo and when required aggressive set up - I didn’t see any of that at Wimbledon, quite the opposite.
The length of contract for Begovic is going to be interesting, given his age (37) and reports on Twitter that he was on huge money at his recent clubs. I think it’s only Bexley Boy who thinks we are paying Amir £18,000 a week, I would doubt it’s half that. My wild guess is a 12 month deal, with the possibility of another 12 month extension.
A good goalkeeper can be as important as a 25 goals a season striker, if a goalkeeper keeps themselves in good shape they can still play till they are 40.
