Just listening to NA interview. Apparently the last time we lost at St Mary's we had the ref we had tonight! (tonights ref was changed at last minute)
Yeah we have overall been good, been a few bad games but it is a good season, just sometimes drop points and have the odd bad games, it was not too good at the weekend to draw nil nil at home to Bradford, I was at the game and it was well dull, but we have been in the goals this season as we have loads, there has been many games with many goals, but we concede a lot, bit like Peterborough as we have 2 clean sheets in 19 in all competitions. So the 0-0 game on Saturday is good in a way. Good to see how you are doing, well done, I knew you could do this.
I am friendly, I do not bite lol, Just engaging in chat, I always look out to Soton's results, bit of a guilt pleasure, rather like a second team, I have bets on you so that shows I have trust in soton.
Great result to come from behind and win after the loss on Saturday. I know if we lost we'd still be 2nd..blah blah..but the doubts would start to creep in. Good to see Holmes again. Well done to Adkins and the team...how could we ever doubt them (wipes sweat from brow).
Just look great I knew that you would do well as Lallana and Lambert are great and many others are good, just need to make sure you do not sell any in January as it would be worth more in the long run if you keep hold of the good players as it could be the difference between The Premiership and The Championship.
Just back from the game.Thought we were sluggish in the first half and didn't have no urgency, second half we came out all guns blazing and got 2 quick goals and showed more urgency. To be honest i thought Hull deserved a point but i'm happy they didn't! they move the ball around very well, probably the best passing team i've seen against us,the only thing they didn't have is alot of chances and we have to give credit to our defence for that.Oh and can i just say what a horrible bloke we had behind us in the family enclosure,he's sitting behind a girl who must of been about 5 and all game he was using the C word, don't get me wrong i'm not a prude but i think that word takes it too far! absolute disgrace!
I had this person next to me who had a little kid around the age of 7 and another kid probably around 5 and he was swearing for nearly 90 minutes, at the Bradford game, it is awful, people should be role models for the young ones.
Not nice! it's like some people forget all morals and become animals as soon as they step in the ground.I do swear but as rarely as i can but the C word for me is disgraceful,at one point he shouted it so loud just because the lino gave a throw to Hull! absolute idiot! think his mates were embarrassed too to be honest.
Have to say, I thought Hull weres easily the best side to visit St Marys this season. Granted, they didn't actually create a lot, but they held onto the ball well and played it around the park quite nicely (very suspicous at the BBC saying they only had 30% possession, even if we did have a lot of the ball in our defence, whilst looking for things further forward). West Ham could learn a lot from both of us. That said, I think we deserved the win. That 20-odd minute spell, from immediately after we conceded to arounf the time Hull went down to 10 men, we were absoloutely superb. Turned the game right around, and in all honestly we should have killed the game off too. It was the defining spell of the game, because either side of it the game was pretty even - indeed, if anything, Hull slightly shaded it. Morgan and Lallana were our best players imo (although Hooiveld and Fonte were both superb in the 2nd half), but I'm giving MOTM to Mclean. Thought he was superb.
Cause when it is round children it is bad, Im no saints, I swear but I would never swear around children, If you take them to the game you have the duty to set an example to them.
Was it just me or did we look nervous? Like you said first half we were slow to the ball. Second half a different team and a great come back, I didn't get why we started Morgan out wide. He hasn't the pace to play there, that being said another great win for the Saints
Nope don't believe it, Matt. On Saturday we had 55% possession, yet everyone said it was a one way street towards our goal.
For anyone interested, Manish on the Football League show (well, League Cup show tonight) has just said that the Championship higlights will be played at the end of the show.
