When the pair of them first came in though, they mentioned stadium expansion or a new one altogether.
I think it could sit well somewhere like Stoneham...................right on the PFC training ground?
Yeah but it's difficult to survive on gates of 15,000, just ask p**pey Also the better facilities have attracted more female supporters along with their saints fans of the future so investment for years to come there Believe Cortese has stated that if it came down to it, he's against re-developing St Mary's and would rather build the Markus Liebherr stadium somewhere else, probably Stoneham or similar for transport links; all pie in the sky at the moment though COYS
Pervert Yeah. I just have an affection towards the Dell. It had character which St Marys doesn't. I look at grounds like the Emirates and it has been designed to have character. We have something that has been dragged off the reduced shelf in ikea.
Emirates is the same as Benfica's - (ok, that's better than Leicester!) but I think it's still a pretty anodyne arena al a Wembley
Fewer than 23 thousand tonight. Good in the Championship on a damp Tuesday in winter, but don't think we need an extension at this time or even in the first few years in the PL (counting chickens there).
So what on earth are teams with rubbish or otherwise not-so-great grounds meant to do, if millionaires only go for teams with a ready-made stadium?
"watch the game wile lineing up for half time bar and snaks" Good grief! And some people thought this was an architect's video.
You could watch the game and queue for a cuppa at the old dell in a couple of spots at the stadium. but football is not cricket where you're there all day and you need to stretch your legs. I like the way MK have done it so if you do have to nip to the loo you're not totally penalised. Nice school project here, but unless we have 20,000 plus season ticket holders for a couple of seasona and sell out a Tuesday night game against west brom there is no need to do anything to St Marys.

^^ Can see where yer going with the brutal modern architectural features. Looks like a football ground rather than a stadium with each stand different and very steep. Kinda of a mix of these Bristol City planned Stadium please log in to view this image Genoa/Samp please log in to view this image
This may have already been asked.. but i'm just trying to figure out how does our stadium actually increase it's capacity.. because when i've been to it i'm baffled to see where additional seats wil be installed.. maybe i'm just being dumb.. but i am not the architect lol
As far as I am aware, when the stadium was built, groundworks were incorporated under the Chapel/Kingsland/Northam stands so as to be able to extend the structure to withhold a total capacity of around 55k. There is also the ability (should the need arise i.e. promotion to the Premier) to have the executive boxes continued around the perimeter of the complete stadium. Under soil pipe works were installed under the pitch when the stadium was built but as yet the full system has not been connected (mainly due to the mild weather we have down south and the rare occasions it would be required). This was done as it was cheaper to install from beginning.
