Stu hasn't signed for them yet. All that has been reported is that they want him. And that's according to Alan Nixon.
Did well, on paper at least, in a bad Sheffield United side last year. Can’t say I’ve really watched much of him but Villareal aren’t much good anymore and he couldn’t get much of a look in there playing 14 times without scoring. He was Armstrongs replacement at Blackburn when he signed for us. Seems cheap which can be taken either way I guess, biggest positive I can see is the price which could allow us to bring someone else in or spend bigger at a different position. Martins comments suggest we are only after one striker though
His main position online is listed as left winger. So perhaps he is considered much better value than Clarke for more than 3 times the price. He can play central as well which is good for versatility. Not sure he’s enough if he is our sole centre forward signing but not sure his price should be a real indicator as we’ve over paid on some really underperforming players Perhaps an idea would be for him and Armstrong to be the front two so both or either could split out wide depending on what the full backs and the midfielders are doing
Yeah not need to diss the links from one comment that’s just a snapshot. Question. Would we pay 35mm for Camera.
I think BBD could be a useful signing, bit of an Adarma one though, so not clear how he fares in the EPL But, 2 mobile winger/CFs could be good and Martin could get the best out of them I'm in But, please can we not loan Dibling out With him looking so good in the pre-season I want to see him play ... FOR US!
Would that count as an ugly rumour? Has to be pointed out Ugly Rumours was the name of a rock band founded in part by future UK prime minister Tony Blair and is also the title of a 1975 novel about the Vietnam War by Tobias Wolff.
Everton spending the Onana money on Jake O’Brien from Lyon (£22m) and a loan move with optional fee of €25m on Jesper Lindstrom, appears the talk of them just pocketing the money for the stadium/debts were wide of the mark. Spending £22m on a centre back may mean something might happen with Branthwaite
I like him. For such a relatively small rumoured fee, I see this as a good deal if it goes through. However, my big caveat is that I put him in the "solid squad player" category, rather than the "regular first team quality" category. Starting 10-15 PL games, and coming off the bench for 20 games, is sort of where I would see him. So if we see a bigger role than that for him, that would concern me because it could mean that we're looking at him and Armstrong to fire us to safety - and I really don't think that would be enough.
Still expecting a central striker to come in, BBD has done his best work charging into central areas from the left flank and lord knows our left flank is pitiful atm
Lifted from a Sheffield United forum. It looks like they like cheese puns too https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/james-bree.100205/
