Archie only signed a new contract recently. That contract included a release clause. It doesn't matter who wanted it in there. The point is that Archie could have refused to have it there. He was happy enough to go.
I’m not going to try and justify anything as all it is doing is stirring up my emotions in a bad way. What I will say is that Archie could not turn it down as the club didn’t want him back. I stand by everything I have said and don’t need to lie but people will make their own minds up regardless. I am happy to speak to anyone face to face but will have to stop getting drawn back into this as my stress levels are set off straight away in the wrong direction. My granddaughter has been seriously ill in hospital so my priorities lie there. I’ll leave it there.
And, of course, if someone wanted to use a bit of PR spin to keep Archie in favour with the Leeds fans whilst getting his multi million pound move and not tainting the family legacy (not forgetting that both dad and grandad transferred away from us) they may say it was the club that activated the deal. As Heidi said, people will believe what they want
For years football to me and Leeds meant everything to me. As I’ve gotten older and priorities change with family it’s been downgraded to a welcome distraction to me. The changes in the game and the whole transfer system hasn’t helped. Certainly don’t let discussions here or elsewhere upset you especially with family members struggling
Another pre season game, another win. If Farke plays Joseph, he will get 20 goals this season. Noticed that Jimmy was missing from the squad. He might be on the move.
As for Summerville, Leeds say the Dutchman has sustained a minor hamstring issue. He was involved in Wednesday's friendly and looked sharp during his 45-minute appearance off the bench.
Just watched the highlights. I can't believe Schalke 04 are in Bundesliga 2. I remember watching them play Barcelona at the Neu Camp in a Champions League quarter final. We look incredibly good. If we're only 80% of what I've seen we will destroy the Championship. Very impressed.
Most importantly, sorry to hear about your granddaughter Heidi and I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Secondly, I am not asking or expecting you to justify anything, and I am certainly not insinuating you are a liar Heidi, or wishing to stir up your emotions. I just assumed we were debating an opinion vs an opinion. Maybe you are privileged to some first hand information that we aren't, my opinion is based solely on the interview given by Archie as I have mentioned above so not worth repeating.
Nice pass by Rothwell for the first goal, he looks a useful signing, we scored from a corner, Joseph looks a handful, a good end to the pre-season, we look balanced and Aaronson looked decent too
Joseph looks to have matured since last season into a viable striker. Hope he gets the game time to build on that.
I'm sorry but you are wrong he has stated he wanted to move. The days of loyalty have long gone and his brother will move too if the riches are promised.
