Hardly played ...I've also seen him miss a penalty and he needs too many touches. It's possible he's just not at his best but I don't think he looks particularly good.

Gordon is a far superior player.

I don't see where Barnes fits in.

 

Yes he hardly played due to a foot injury. Next season is the key for him. But then you’re following Roly and just wanting him to be ****

 

Where is he going to play? I actually loved the signing when I looked at his numbers, but I'm watching the player.

Absolutely Longstaff starts but cannot play.

 

I'm not saying Barnes can't come good mind.. I'm just saying I'm not impressed so far.

Goal for Murphy, he's like a new signing at right wing so that should save some money

Barnes is, was and always will be an average PL footballer at the Longstaff level. He was a stupid purchase when we had (and still have) much higher priorities. I’m deeply concerned we won’t strengthen again, we seem to leave every window two players short. We need to replace Almiron, Krafth and Wilson with younger and better players but I fully suspect we’ll only replace one (thanks to Howe) and that will be Chalobah coming in.
