What's there was perfectly good enough under Pearson!

30% possession according to BBC stats is piss poor. In Football mental attitude is everything, that's what's got to change.

This 'studs up' thing always annoys me when used as a reason to send someone off. How can you do a slide tackle without showing your studs? If their not showing, you're still stood up.

I hate Pearson more than ever now, he's ****ed us right up the greedy twat.

We need to put things in perspective, I think all of us would have been happy with the following.

    Draw against Derby away
    Win against Burnley Home
Loss against Soton ( 2 -1 loss is a lot better than other teams have done)

That is 4 points and we have 3 from the 3 games. So let's not get down just yet.

It still hurts though, dropping from the playoffs down to 10th due to 4 very unlucky losses and a **** load of unecessary suspensions. Eespecially when other teams that are no better than us keep winning.

Notice some on here have talked about losing four out of the last five - weren't two on them against Barnsley and West Ham with NP in charge before the pr*t jumped ship FFS?

    Get a grip.

Phil Crosby Asst Manager at Soton just quoted as saying we were the best team they have faced this season.

Yeah not happy to lose again but even with Pearson in charge we may have struggled to get anything out of a long midweek trip to the league leaders.

I didn't expect City to do anything this season, but since we've been starting to win games and get things back on track with our season under Pearson, it raised my expectations slightly. However, for him to leave under the bizarre circumstances he did, coupled with a bad defeat to Burnley and even losing away to the league leaders, I got to say the few weeks of this month has been quite hard to take.

Barmby isn't the man for us, but i'll support him and the lads as much as i can. The whole Barmby Army, the ****e t-shirts, he's one of our own won't help when the Allams finally decide to get rid.

I hope they stay switched on against Leicester. None of these 10 minute lapses in concentration like the last 2 matches.

You mean we just lost to the team that have won every home game this season? The team that are top of the table?

Why do City fans expect to win every game. Get some perspective. Nick Barmby has changed it around and tried to go for a different approach that isn't moulded over three games, it isn't moulded over a month it takes time. We are trying new things that he thinks will work his way. Give the man time to work it, we don't need to change anything, it will do it itself .

Anyone who's still kidding themselves that we are still playoff contenders think again. The minute NP walked out so did our chances of a playoff position. Seriously we've got kids who need a dad to keep them on the straight and narrow, not a big brother.

When we are in bottom half before Christmas reality will bite.

I'm as passionate as anyone on here, I'm also a realist, the writings on the wall. I pray NB can sort it out but fear he hasn't earned the credibility, respect and command we need at this moment.

My Christmas list is already prepared.

Why don't any of you apologise for being so difficult to get to? I tried to drive into your city recently to pay my respects to Phillip Larkin and you have to pay through the nose to cross that bridge!

Struggling to believe people on here, Southampton have won every single home game this season, most at a canter. We clearly gave them a decent game (so says their assistant). If we'd have held on against burnley - a big if I know - then wed have been looking at this result thinking a shame but not the end of the season.

We will learn a lot more from the next 10 days or so by which time we'll have faced Leicester and birmingham at home and Coventry away.

Listened to the match on Tigers Player and honestly thought it sounded a creditable effort - disappointing to lose after being ahead again but agree with other posters even a point away to the best team in the league at the moment would have been a big ask. And as for the 30% possession stats - that bore no relation to the game I listened to. Would be interested in hearing what the fans at the match have to say about that.

you didnt want to go across the bridge, tez, you wanted to go up the m18 and along the m62/a63. but look, as its you, i have had a word and next time you try to cross the bridge it will be cheaper. though still not as cheap as using the m18, unless you live in north east lynx, which it dont sound like you do.

I agree it hurts losing and I for one hate losing, but we have lost the games by a small margin, which I do put down to a bit of inexperience of NB, but he has only just walked into the job. Let's just give him a chance, as even though you bring in and experience manager, does not always give you success, Ipswich/Forest are 2 examples.

A few of the comments on the prediction thread by Southampton fans at the game seem to support the claims of their assistant.

The possesion stats that show while the games being played are the last 5 mins possesion I believe.

You could do worse than read the City v Saints score predicition thread. In it you will see many comments from Saints fans saying we're the best team they've played and also questioning the possession stats.

Maybe your mental attitude does need to change.
