Cheers Lcooper, nice honest words. I think AVB is just having his first real reality check about how different the prem is to potuguese footie, I hope you stick with him for the season at least as I still think he could be the guy for u (unless u suddenly slip down the table which I can't see). And 42 guests, WTF?? Sign up, give your opinion!
thisisanfield This Is Anfield #LFC's form since the defeat to Spurs: WWWDDWWDWDW Don't know if its been posted but superb effort by the team and Dalglish. A couple of disappointing draws there but overall a great run.
Wow, didn't realise just how good we'd been. Such a shame we couldn't turn a couple of those draws against Swansea & Norwich in to wins but you can't win them all! Overall very happy with how things are going at the moment! Don't think any fan can be negative.
How good was Coates today? He kept Torres, Lukaku and Anelka quiet, another positive to add to the long growing list

Considering 4 of them fixtures were Chelsea twice away and both Manchester clubs, we're doing fantastic and in a way, going under the radar

No offence but how do you expect AVB to get rid of 3/4 of your squad and then replace them with the quality to stay in the top 4? while I know you guys can go out and buy anyone you want, surely you have to think about FFP, 3/4 of a squad is about 12 players, for you guys to go out and buy 12 'top 4' quality players is going to cost you upwards of £100m and I honestly don't see the same sort of return value in the players you're looking to offload Van Persie was out with a bad back due to carrying 10 footballers for 3 months
So, assuming Man United beat Palace tomorrow, who do you fancy in the semis? United, City or Cardiff? In an ideal world I'd go for City in the semis and then beating United in the final (although it will then obviously only be a "mickey mouse" competition if they lose). I'd rather avoid Cardiff as it's the "smaller" teams that we seem to be struggling with at the moment!
I'll keep this short and simple (bullet points that is) 1. coates, god he runs and even walks like alan hanson. It was like watching in 1988. plus that cosmetic detail aside he played really well, very impressive yuong player. 2. Kelly, great credit to come back in and play that well. 3. Lucas, imperious again, we can only hope its not serious. 4. Bellamy, MOTM two great assists. great work rate. 5. both teams were "weakened" so it says a lot of things about our squad. 6. enrique and maxi, really instant connection there, both men want to aply football. really good together. 7. our best carling cup perfromance for 5 years? 2007 we lost to chelsea inthe Qf. its been a while since that semi with arsenal.... I'm dead chuffed we can say we've put a cup run together at last. Semis look to be a top quality field so the draw will be interesting for sure. Something to look forward too! 8. what the hell has kenny done to turn our away form round so much? we were terrible on the road for many years but now its not a bother. Roll on fulham!
Haha! True. Still cannot count Arsenal out though. At this rate Spuds will get third and us forth! Now that would be interesting!
Flippin Heck your right he does, hes makes nicking the ball off the opposition look sooooooo easy.Almost looks as if he could play football lying down if he felt like it!!
yup coates is scarily like old alan in gait. tht languid style... god what a burden to put on him but.... now kenny needs to find a big nosed, left footed striker...... a rush or fowler playalikey.....
