Yeah I don't see why the old bills actions would prevent the prosecution of the original offences. Those offences still happened and should be dealt with separately to the investigation into the coppers reaction.

I think the knifey **** needs clamping down on big time. Mandatory 2 year custodial for carrying (assuming we have enough prison space) Mandatory 5 year custodial for threatening somebody with it. I also think the prison system needs to work towards education and rehab rather than isolation and punishment, but that's another issue altogether.
Also, you and I both know that area well. And we both know the racial tensions that used to plague the area. I know it's not directly related to that incident at Manchester airport, but this is why I will never condone Police violence, because we have both had first hand experience of being on the end of it. And that area was beset with racial tensions with the Police after they botched the Stephen Lawrence murder. As I've said before, we live in a country where the courts deal with offenders and the IOPC deal with Coppers who step over the line. I have no time for the argument that the Police can dish out a beating when they feel it's justified. All that does is inflame the situation further, as I mentioned previously on this.
I remember them talking about a 2 year minimum sentence for carrying when I was a teenager not long after there were a few stabbings in short space of time round Soton. Obviously never happened though.
You’d need a dozen in each cell to keep up with demand. For every two arrested I’d have a knife fight to the death. Winner is released. If caught again they go into another knife fight to the death. Reduces the likelihood of offending and eases the burden on prisons. Yet Starmer refuses to respond to my emails.
The knife fight to the death idea gives people a chance and yes I like the idea of making some money from it in these tough economic times. Would be far better than the Chisora undercard.
