I'm surprised some of them aren't part of the French diving Olympic team TBH.

Last pre-season Amo made an incredible, clever pass into the box. Now he does it again. This is a footballing intelligence few players have.

It would take serious balls from Russell to throw two teenagers into the starting line up for the Newcastle game but it wouldn't shock me at all. SAA and Dibling have been immense. If I was to take a punt now on the line up, Dibling would start and SAA would come off the bench.

I was disappointed last season when Sam Amo disappeared from the match day squad because he is so capable of winning a penalty and providing that little bit of quality. He’s superior to Sulemana and should get his slot.

Disrespect from Sulemayne there. I understand Bree’s anger.

Bordeaux gave us a tougher game than this lot.

Nasty team, Montpellier. They are on my dislike list now.

Star was Sammy AA by miles, Suli and Mara were unsurprisingly poor and Macca? Dreadful

You can tell we have been building from defence and midfield, but we are seriously light on strikers and Macca is not good enough to keep us up.

Agree with all of this. Midfield three looked good, most if not all of the defenders were decent with the ball and against the ball. But the front three was crap throughout really, bar the flashes of Amo and Dibling - and Macca does not inspire me at all

Good tempo for a friendly. Desperately need to add some firepower though.

Mara’s penalty was a perfect, textbook example of how not to take a spot kick.

First, give the keeper all the help in the world by lining up your body, and your eyes, in the direction you are going to go. Then walk slowly up to the ball and nudge it gently to where the keeper is already lying down ready to receive it.

I hope Russell has some words for the lad, that was beyond awful.

Maybe Mara had money on a 3-1 scoreline

Whoever posted that Montpellier HSC were live streaming the match free on their Facebook page I salute you, £5 saved and no bugs. I think they'll be repeating the match on their page later.
