I reckon Longstaff could possibly make a canny defender or defensive midfielder. Just putting this out there on the off chance I can dine out on it for the next decade
He doesn't have the attributes.. it's always essential to describe the reasons why... I believe deep deep down people simply want Longstaff to be something he isn't and eventually when he's finally moved on and ends up at Hull or something they'll start tap dancing. Howe knows his times up as well I feel.
Okay when fully fit I think Longstaff is quite capable of reading the game and making crucial interceptions. He’s not too bad on the ball with regards first touch and knows how to find the right hand channel with passes.
I'd be very happy if we could get £20+m for Longstaff. That would fund a serious level upgrade. Murphy shows flashes of ability, but his all round play is pretty poor. OK as squad back up, but would need phasing out of even being back up within the next 12-18 months. Miggy I actually feel a bit sorry for. He's being judged as a right winger and that's just not his natural position. All that footage someone posted up from the MLS is as a left sided forward -.and he showed he does have an end product. BUT I also accept it was in the MLS, not quite the EPL standatd. Again, if we could get around £15m-£20m for him that would be a great result given his age.
I've seen him have games and not make a tackle. He's done mate not going to end up doing anything after Newcastle either. He'll end up in a relegated side and or just playing in the championship. Hayden ilk.
Thank ****. Was starting to get slightly concerned myself at lack of action but now this bellend has come out with this we can all start getting excited. Club love mugging him off
I still think there's time, but after listening to you last summer and all the **** you got from the ever oppressive cult, it's worth remembering that in the end you were completely right. We'll see, but I'm beginning to see history repeating tbh.
The thing is I've seen people use his stories when it suits. I've often said that fans emotional decision making is blind to some. 1. Like or agree with the a story and it's used to bolster their narrative. 2. Don't like a story and the journalists are all untrustworthy and should be ignored. Personally based on the evidence I would say he's probably right, but there's plenty of time.
I’ve never like the bloke. He’s admitted in the past to winding people up. He was miles off with the takeover stuff and he’s been miles off ever since. The fact he was personally named and shamed by the club at the fan advisory board meeting tells you how little they think of him.
He did yes but he also said something key which was that he did it because of all the **** he was already getting. At the end of the day journalists write stories and if people get pissed off reading them that's their problem. I think Craig Hope is worse personally..in truth I don't care who writes the stories because all we can do is try to decipher what's true and what's not and it's impossible until you get a conclusion. Edwards and the others will get things right or wrong, but they can only write what they hear..I mean if they list players of interest and it doesn't happen it doesn't mean they weren't interested....they just for whatever reason didn't buy them.
I’ll admit I used to like caulkin and a few others but some of them have turned to **** in the last year or 2 too. Nothing to do with a narrative, they’re all wannabe YouTube celebs these days
We all follow these windows but it's a complete waste of time there is nothing worth reading until it's done.
