Uncannily like Michelangelo during the painting of the Sistene Chapel ceiling ...

... although in all likelihood, the only Michelangelo Sucky know of is a terrapin with super powers <laugh>

I give them credit for being very innovative with it, rather than it being stadium bound, especially up against the elements that decided to descend on Paris today, but everyone continued their performence despite being drenched.

Sort of reminded of the jubilee events for the Queen, or whatever event it was, it just pissed it down.

I think the river boats were boring, but even if it's in a stadium it's boring. I appreciated the theme they otherwise tried to play out. Still think the band was the best bit - in the clip I put up earlier.

Not sure I could have sat or stood outside for hours to watch this though, might have felt different in the sun with beer.

    Goes on too long...

I just genuinely think that Beijing and London haven't been bested yet.

I think London had a very good theme, from the incredible Industrial Revolution opening, transforming the grassy field into factories, then using those factories to "build" the Olympic rings. Really smart.

Then the homage to British literature, which goes into modern British culture.

Beijing is undescribable just needs to be seen.

This Paris parade of nations was appalling

They should used the flame to burn down the Notre Dame again for a laugh. That would have got everyones attention.
