I've never predicted us to win anything before, even when we've made finals or been top of the league but I feel it.

It's happening. By the end of the 25/26 season we're winning something.

Newcastle should genuinely target the league Cup.

It's a great competition to win, the final is mid season and can give a lift for the rest of the season and run in.

Forget Europe, just go into that and see how you do.Properly try to win the league Cup as the one to get the monkey off their back.

The likes of us, City, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. like to win it, but it won't be the main focus.

Arsenal could do worse as well tbh.

Yeah I think that last spot is between Forest and Brentford but going with Brentford as they collapsed hugely last season and presumably will lose Toney.

 

That's the key, if they keep him and Mbeumo that's real quality up top.

 

I have a feeling that is what Howe is thinking. We have certainly tried harder and put out stronger sides in the last couple of years. We lost the final in '23 and then last season knocked out Man City and Man Utd before then getting Chelsea - could do with a nicer draw this year.

 

I'd say Ipswich have more chance of going down than you and Leicester, they did extremely well last season but their squad is still largely league 1 players, they've added potential to the squad but no experience, you and Leicester have players with some PL experience, McKenna looks a great manager but I think they're in for a rude awakening.

 

PL haven’t decided how many points Leicester will be deducted first.
