There are a lot of sources making the same claim. Could all just be regurgitated but I think there is something in this.
All three linked today really fit the profile and I’d be ok with it especially if we cut more deadwood.
£50m for Trippier? Who writes this ****e https://www.footballinsider247.com/...m_2BtAsjL79_fOwd0BgZSyVQ#Echobox=1721927333-1
That said I’ve looked at all transfers and the overall spend is very misleading due to a large number of PSR-deals. There’s not really been anyone where I’ve thought “why aren’t we getting them?” - I would have loved Olise, but we had zero chance.
Hands down that website is the absolute worst. It’s the Sunday Sport of football information, fabricated bollocks on repeat, for clicks.
The FFP will be all over it we sell Trippier to Saudi for £50m. Cost us £12m 2 years ago and he's nearly 34.
https://x.com/NUFC___NEWS/status/1816214728131371050 2 First team signings and we are golden - CB and RW. Not sure what the budget is but even if signing a young CB like Thiaw blew the budget there are always wingers available on loan and then add an obligation/option to buy next year (like Hall) - I'd have a look at Smith-Rowe off Arsenal, Madueke at Chelsea, Bobb at City probably most likely - no way he's getting games ahead of their superstars and they just signed a new winger so a season loan would do.
Even if they were all here, fit and available Howe will never pick them all to start. They like to be clever holding players back for pre planned subs.
