Yeah and the funding will disappear overnight if the opportunity for Olympic medals is no longer there.
so bit like the beach volleyball on horse guards parade in 2012 then . One of the actual benefits of 2012 is the number of facilities that are still in use unlike Barcelona Athens etc
Do you mean the Eiffel Tower Stadium, if so I thought that was for volleyball. It will be dismantled after the olympics. please log in to view this image
Yeah it looks cool, but if it's pissing down it's going to be very open to the elements. Didn't we build something similar in one of the London Parks, the one that short cuts through from Westminster to Buckingham Palace (iirc)? Edit: I must be thinking of Horse Guards Parade. Oh and the park I was thinking of was St James Park...no not the one in Newcastle lol
My lad is in Paris for the 5th, 6th and 7th, with my grandson as well, so don't want no shhite out there.
Not as far as I've seen mate. Well France's recent record of hosting major sporting events is questionable at best. No chance I'd have gone personally.
The opening ceremony will be shown live from 17:45 BST on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cljy547p871o please log in to view this image
