I think there’s no doubt it wasn’t remotely amicable. The shunting was very fast and the timing around Mitchell appearing (to Howes alleged surprise), the PSR shambles, and Howes subsequent spiky interview points to it being a short, sharp shock. I think Jamie might have been the one holding the knife as well.
Jamie at least has experience in a football director role. I would have left them in charge of the lasses team which the 2 of them need a ton of credit for.
Well let’s not forget that the Bloomberg stuff about her suddenly having £500m of investment to chuck at Spurs came out about three days later. Somethings definitely a bit off about it all.
Bloomberg are up her arse, just Barrett in mind. She’s always on some stage or another in the Middle East chatting with them on tv
I agree. I think they have fulfilled their roles well. But last season was a question mark and ultimately I think the real owners (including the RB) decided they need real football people. Your also quite right they would have been expert as ambassadors but I also agree I think something has happened which means they can’t. It isn’t like they won’t be short of a bob or two now though. And isn’t she not very well? Does she need the hassle. Why not bank the money and retire. I guess it’s in some peoples dna. She probably likes the buzz of it.
That’s playing the players. That’s her MMO she’s fantastic at it. She is a brilliant business woman no doubt. Running a football club. No so possibly.
Nottingham Forrest. They sold us a bucket of **** for £23.6m to avoid another PSR breach. From a salesman’s pov this is perhaps the greatest hustle I’ve ever seen on any level
