on the first two if you curzer to the club badges, hit the club you desire it should give at least some ideas.
if we are no stronger than last season Manning and Tinnion have failed. We have hopefully improved up top with three attacking pacey players. Bird ids going to be a fantastic addition and Atkinson coming back is massive. We are going to be a lot stronger.
The forwards seem more for the future, we’ve also lost James, Weiman etc, and also TC will either be gone or side lined.
That does concern me slightly as well, a lot (all) of our signings in the last 2 years have been similar in that respect…
We won’t pay the price of championship ready players, I thought we may have this time, with the money from the sale of Scott, but we haven’t. We were supposed to be bringing in players to take us to the next level, I’d be surprised if they do.
City launch new Robins TV matchday streaming service https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-men-news/city-launch-new-robins-tv-matchday-streaming-service/
Three goals in 60 Championship games doesn't exactly look like a world beater in my books so I am out of the jury room on this guy. When we make these kinds of transfer deals, which to say the least is a complete shot in the dark, it makes me ask who was the idiot who decided Sammy Smodzics was not up to snuff to grace the halls of Ashton Gate? Why do we on most occasions go for lesser players to fill the gaps left by more talented ones who we have decided to cash in on whilst their standing is readily sellable? I will probably be banging on all season long about the lack of anything offered up by Cornick and Mehmeti but regrettably signing those kinds of below average players just about sums up the overall apathetic attitude smothering Bristol City Football Club. Long will it continue.
of course beside those signed so far in this window we also have Stokes signed [ loaned back so we didnt miss out!] back in January on the bench! would we miss TC? well it is a wwnk scenario .... if we dont do as well as last season = poorly we could say we miss him! if we start well and get 18 pts in first 10 we could say TC ... WHO?
Unfortunately, we are a bit of a second rate club that usually make second rate signings. I'd love to be proved wrong.................
Y Hirakawa our Japanese winger stretchered off after a lively 30 minutes against Paraguay. Didn’t look too serious.
Frank. I'm not sure, could be ankle ligaments, fingers crossed he'll be OK. The Paraguyan challenge looked cynical and worse, as always, in slow motion. Another page in our chapter of injury.
Bristol City injury latest after key duo missed Newport County and Aldershot Town friendlies Zak Vyner and Harry Cornick both missed the friendlies against Newport County and Aldershot Town that were played on Tuesday https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...bristol-city-coach-offers-encouraging-9434970
Just seen the video - tried to stop it at the right place - didn’t quite get the point where his ankle buckles……
He did carry on for a bit though, before being taken off on a stretcher, don’t know if that’s significant or not.
Bristol City in Europe-wide transfer battle for Brighton player https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/bristol-city-in-europe-wide-transfer-battle-for-brighton-player/
This looks to be the type of signing that sums up our transfer policy in a nutshell as he is another vastly inexperienced player who has yet to burst through the first team bubble at any of his employers. The French 5th tier may indeed have some talent awaiting better things but by my recognition if he is really a good future prospect then more teams than us would be parked on his doorstep. I think we all know by now that blockbuster signings are not on BCFC's radar but from what I have seen so far it hasn't filled me with confidence going into another campaign probably still missing a couple of cogs in the wheel. Time and injuries will give us a better picture whereby we can see how well we compete in reality but for sure this season is all Liam's and we can but hope that the positivity he shows will take the field and give us more competitiveness.
