It's a buzz word now Criticism of a religion, even the one true Roman Catholic faith, should be protected. Religion is essentially an idea so criticise away. Discrimination against those for their faith should be strongly discouraged but I'm not into prison sentences for that kind of thing. However it should not be a defence against criminal behaviour. All equal under the law Racism is a superiority complex that should fall under Discrimination above, no extra sentences for hate crime imo. You don't cure hate with extra years, hate is learned or grown from experience. Start the crusade there. It's quite difficult to separate the actions of a person devoted to a religion from mental illness in my opinion. None of the holy books and claims of any religion stand up to rational scrutiny. No religion that claims to follow an all caring and all powerful god can justify the cruelty that exists. I thank god I'm a heathen.
See, now that's another thing. If these people believe in a paradise in the hereafter, why do they blub like buggery when one of their loved ones dies? Surely that's blasphemy, as it's the will of their god that they've gone on to a better place for eternity, so this life is not even a blink time wise, and they'll be back nagging them in no time.
