I believe that tickets are £335. My daughter worked at Glastonbury this year for the first time. Giving out passes to the acts etc. The work was unpaid but she got her own parking place three free meals a day. Also access to the side of the main stage and backstage. She is driving back today. She has had a gas.

I was wrong the tickets are as follows.

Tickets cost £355 + £5 booking fee, of which a £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket + coach travel option) was payable when booking in November, with the balance payable in the first week of April 2024.

I believe it is a fallow year in 2025

    Blimey.

So one ticket for Glasto is around £100 to £150 less than a football Club Season ticket.
I suppose it comes down to how folks want to spend their money.
And I know that tickets for one concert lasting a few hours (Rolling Stones for instance) can cost well over £200 each.

So no Festival in 2025 then?

They have a year every four years where the grass and surrounding areas have to recover. They call it a fallow year. The festivals I enjoy most are Cropedy and the Cambridge Folk Festival. Both not too big, wonderful atmosphere, even the drunks are very friendly. Great acts as well and affordable prices.

Interesting to see Paul Rutherford of Frankie Goes to Hollywood waving an imitation revolver around on stage towards the end of their performance of Two Tribes on TOTP (1984, on BBC Four).

    More innocent days I guess :emoticon-0159-music <peacedove>

A little reminiscent of that Sid Vicious video for his superb cover of My Way when he shoots into the audience at the end.

    Even more innocent days <laugh>

The beginning of the end for Strictly <diva> :emoticon-0169-dance

The BBC says it isn't but I think it is.
The show has run it's course. Very few of these kinds of shows last more than 20 years.

    And there's more...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6p2122r9xro

The show is tainted. Time to look for something new to fill the Saturday evening slot.
    Remember Noel's House Party?
That went on for about 20 years too long...

It’s all turned rather sour for Strictly. My Wife is mortified.

"Charlton Live" returns on Thursday at 7pm headed by as usual Louis Mendez. Well worth a listen, AHLL usually has some great questions to ask.
