Allsopp was a poor goalkeeper playing in a much better team than we have now.

Pandur might be a poor goalkeeper, playing in a much poorer team than Allsopp did. Judge him in proper games.

Allsopp's ability has no bearing on Pandur's ability now.

I suspect, and time will tell, that actually both are ****e.

If that is the case, let's hope we don't stubbornly persevere in playing a ****e goalkeeper week in/week out like we did last season.

They've said they're in for a first team goalkeeper. I suspect it'll be an experienced one with a track record

It’s ****ing ridiculous judging the keeper off of that game. He made a cracking save, controlled his area when he was called upon. Some of Donny’s finishing tonight was ridiculous, what are some of you expecting him to do? It’s always the ****ing keeper. 2 of the centre backs gave the ball away last man. The 3rd was a ridiculous finish and the 4th was a cracking header. Jesus wept… Acun hasn’t helped his case but judge him when he lets everything shot at the near post go in, or shots straight at him bounce over his arms

Allsop is not rated by any of his prior clubs. Pandur was loved by Fortuna, a good level of football. He’s been completely hung out to dry by his defenders in the games we’ve watched so far.

The eredivise is like the Scottish league - disparate.

You don't come up against championship standard opposition week in, week out.

    Not having that.

Some of the finer recruits in recent years have come from the Dutch league. It’s a very decent standard. Very technical league unlike the Scot

I'll stand by it - perhaps not as disparate but like most European leagues it's nowhere near competitive.

    So do I.

Pandur surely has potential, but he ain't filling with me with assurance he's a promotion winning keeper yet. Far from it.

Needs to be, but I've said before, we needed to generate headroom to spend.

And Greaves and Jaden actually only went through days ago.

We aren't just a couple short

Where did he say that? Seems low, I would hope we have that before Fiorentina and then a couple more before Bristol, then the rest towards the end of the window.

Facebook live after the game. Also said there’s a possibility of another this week. Hopefully Tim’s interview after the game puts pressure on them to get a move on though. I’d like 4 minimum even if it’s just to have a competitive bench.

There will be an influx when the PL/International dominoes start falling.

That's half the problem. PL starts and finishes after EFL so they're a week or 2 behind in their process, so the talent isn't released to trickle down until late. And it's even worse in a tournament summer.

The summer has been an absolute car crash. It's pretty demoralising watching our 2nd string get spanked by a L2 side, even though they'll probably go up.

I know they're kids and some did alright, but it's just such a bad position to be in.

Just feels like they’ve made things needlessly hard for themselves. People are already showing signs of turning after a few friendly results, think how toxic it could be if we don’t start the season well

Amount round me saying it was ****e and they wouldn't bother. And that was after the first half with the u21's. The average fan is impatient.

It’s hardly a normal second string is it though? Average age was in the teens…

It was always going to happen. Complex system with too many passengers some that are nowhere near good enough, Vaughan the biggest one.

The senior lads played forward with miles more confidence, we should’ve scored 2/3 when they came on. Looked miles less naive playing out.

Friendlies again mean nowt. We’ve had weak squads beat European giants in recent years, we beat Ajax under Slutsky…
Walter learnt a lot about some of those lads tonight, the same as some of them also learnt loads. Most of them have never started a senior game of football ffs…

The summer has been successful in chopping a huge chunk of the clubs operational losses away, whilst bringing in its own money to reinvest.

You're looking at quite a far reaching process in it's immediate state before the recruitment starts in earnest.

Just take a cold shower and wash those starchy sheets.

PM Vern for a yumyum and cuppa date or something.

Just chill. The window hasn't got started yet.
