Not sure he’s technical enough for what Walter wants, Drameh will certainly be the eventual first choice. I actually wouldn’t be against playing Coyle at CB over Sean, did very well at Leeds

Ashbee was the one who passed it straight to their striker under no pressure whatsoever wasn't he? He's also the one that left his man and left Smith with two attackers for their headed goal? If so, he was entirely responsible for the two softest goals we conceded tonight. Other than his surname, let's be honest, there was very little he did tonight which suggests he should be getting pointed out for praise ahead of anyone else that took to that field.

These things happen and I know he'll improve, but tonight was not a good night for him.

I've seen us win all our preseasons and start like shyte and lose all our preseasons and start well.

It's not about results but it is about patterns of play, and I'm a much more encouraged by the final 30 tonight than the last 60 against Fenerbache.

I'm not agreeing with the surname thing, I did think he showed a bit of technical quality, just looked like a boy against men.

He's easily a couple of years away yet.

Best preseason I can remember was Hateley’s. Then we went to Mansfield…<laugh>

Seen his name pop up a couple of times as a standout is all, but for me he had an absolute shocker in this game. Can't figure out why mention Ashbee ahead of say, Tinsdale. Out of the two of them, one of them gave a half decent account of themselves and the other was unfortunately awful on this occasion.

Yup, that's the one I had in mind, and then on the other boot, 2008/9.

Red hot day, I went with Simon gray, the coach travel was more interesting than the game. Think we got dicked 3-0

I'd say Simons too, in moments. Just didn't gamble very much tonight. Thought Sandat looked alright but first touch was off. Even Smith looked OK when coming forwards with the ball, mistake excepted.

Thing is, Sandat is probably one of the ones with the most senior experience, albeit tier 5.

Should he really be offside as much as he was?

Sandat was awful, there's no chance he'll make it at our level. I've seen him a few times and he's never looked good.

Jesus wept must be the first time you’ve seen him…

He did himself no favours tonight but that’s the worst I’ve seen him by far, players have off games ffs

I have a soft spot for Gateshead and follow national league pretty closely.

For his age if he can kick on up the levels then he needs to start doing it now.

He's another that's still a few years away from his potential though. You'd think another loan at some point.

Seen him a few times for the 21s and the ball is always like pinball off him.

Was the kids Vs their first team for 60 mins.

Then the grown ups came on for a 30 min training routine.

    Friendlies are what they are.

It's why you get 4 of them for 5.99 on tigers plus not a tenner a pop.
