I expect so. Posting that a woman should "fear for her personal safety" is more extreme and shameful than knocking on doors and handing out leaflets. Little wonder that Roddy has no love for Charlton fans.
At the risk of labouring something that happened (or not) some 8 years ago now, can the following be clarified with certainty? Nobody from CARD or the Belgian 20 knocked on the front door of Katrien Meire's parents' house? Nobody gave KM's parents anti-Roland leaflets when they came to the door? Nobody knew in advance that KM's parents lived at that address? Because I thought all three of those things were true. This is why I was furious when I first heard about it. I decided there and then that I would not take part in any more CARD protests, and I didn't. And I condemned the leaflet visit as a veiled but insidious form of intimidation. If none of it actually happened, I was seriously misinformed, and will have to revise my opinions on those times.
The facts according to the ones who delivered the leaflets are that they delivered anti-Roland leaflets to KM's parents without realising they lived there. When it went in the letterbox they opened the door, a few polite words were exchanged, they closed the door and that was it.
