Once again, many thanks for this. This game was played in a 2014 World Cup venue as the ground of Sport is having their pitch relayed. A pain as this ground is not far from the city centre but time consuming for a relatively short distance. I'll go back to their own ground next year, I'm only 80 miles away and it's a cracker. Recife as a city is a bit edgy though.
Programmes are not produced over here and I was not able to get a badge as their club shop is at their own ground. Plenty of snide tops if you want to buy though. You're able to drink during the game and would pay £1.80'ish for a 350ml can. I only had one as had a couple of beers before. Brazil is a place not too advisable to get carted, certainly for my journey back to the hotel you need your wits about you.
My groundhopping roommate when I was following Scotland away had visited every senior ground in Britain in 1978 except Cowdenbeath. His favourite was Brechin City.
Fair play to him. I have done about 23 up your way, including Cowdenbeath. Do they still do stock car racing there?
