Gave it a quick Google as assumed they'd be on **** all. But Hayes and SW both earn around £1.25m a year, that's obscene for the women's game and no surprise they've not transitioned to the men's.

Shades of the bloke ranked 205th in the world who played Serena Williams and Venus Williams and beat them both 6-1. Serena Williams said that he was just returning serves with no effort which were aces when she played women. That was set up when John McEnroe caused a furre when he said the top women players wouldn’t beat the 200th ranked male. Hope all the ones spouting off had the decency to apologise to him, though I doubt it,

Serena Williams said it herself though. Again it’s the same sport but 2 separate entities. Anyone comparing the 2 are simply doing it to **** on the achievements of the likes of Serena.

McEnroe was called out for saying it. But was proved right.

It didn’t need proving, nor did McEnroe need to say anything. He did so only to **** on the achievements of others. Pound for pound, you don’t make Mayweather fight Fury to prove who’s better do you

Why does the women’s winner at Wimbledon get paid the same as the men’s when far less people watch the women’s games on TV? McEnroe was reacting to remarks that they deserved the same.

The women’s final gets about a third of the viewers the men’s final gets.

As OLM says they get watched by considerably less so why do the winners get the same?

I knew they got way less. Which is why I wrote what I did about the prize money.

    This McEnroe?

    John McEnroe added:-
“I think when you've got men and women playing at the same tournament, it is ludicrous to have a difference in pay. It would be setting an example to the rest of society in general to have equal prize money. There's probably no other sport, and very few professions in this world, where a woman can earn as much as a man”.

Women at Wimbledon are part of the overall package. The play on the same courts in the same schedule.

Who cares if they earn the same as men? I bet they also receive less in funding and endorsements too - so it helps balance it out.

    thats the thing
the players who win wimbledon, are already the top tier players
the amount they get from sponsorships and others is insane
why not have the small wimbledon prize money be equal
alcarez and djokovic will earn far far more money each year than women players

He's bringing Federer out of retirement. There was other interest but Rosie took the time to travel to Switzerland and develop a human connection.
