Life can be simple... if people have the appetite for it ...

... and given what the Gazan population has gone through, and is still going through; now could be exactly the right time for a leader to emerge that rejects Jihad and the destruction of Israel etc. whilst committing to achieving, with UN backing and support, a Palestinian homeland devoid of Israeli settlements and Israeli controls over borders and international trade ... no reason there can't be an autonomous port facility in Gaza etc...

 

That’s years and years off and they’d only utilise it to try and kill Jews anyway. It’s all they’re interested in apart from keeping the aid money rolling in. What’s left of Hamas and other terror groups aren’t just going roll over and let this wonderful humanitarian figure take the reins.

 

bet you none of Israels strategic partners alter their position due to this ruling .

There is always hope - it's happened before in admittedly different circumstances - Mandela, Kemal Attaturk... he doesn't have to be a 'wonderful humanitarian'... just one that's arrived at a humanitarian destination / realisation...

There was a documentary on Discovery about the Nazi Death Squads who exterminated every single Jew in the Baltics, documented and filmed by the Nazis for future reference and in one scene mothers were ordered to hold their babies above their heads so the could be killed with one clean shot

Every death was documented with an list of valuables and clothing taken from the victims

Anyone on this ****ing football forum who cannot comprehend why the Jews react as they to ANY threat to their survival as a nation should search for and watch this series

The Palestinians in this latest mini war are the truly unfortunate collateral damage and our hearts must go out to them and maybe it is time for the Irailies to take a deep breath and decide enough is enough BUT as long as Hammas and the other Arab Terriorists exist then Israel is not safe AND neither is the Western Culture because their aim is to destroy everything that is not extreme Muslim ideology including up to 50% of the rest of the Muslim population

I get the overall point Duggie... but there is also the case that if something that awful has been done to your people, wouldn't you be totally opposed to something similar being perpetrated on another people - and, in particular, when it is somehow purported to be 'in your name' ?

 

I feel I included that element but my point is given their history you cannot be surprised at their reaction to being attacked and Hamas knew what the response would be and effectively sacrificed Palestine for their overall agenda

Hamas/Iran are getting exactly the response they wanted. I don’t think in their wildest dreams they expected this level of support from wet gimps in the West oblivious to how many times Israel has gone with their preferred tactic of just accepting it and moving on but that was never an option this time.

 

There have been massacres, mass exterminations, genocides committed throughout history on every continent. The settlers in what is now the US massacred millions of Native Americans, Pol Pot murdered around 3 million Cambodians, The Rwandan Hutu massacred the Tutsi, The Pakistanis murdered around 3 million Bengalis in the 70's and Ghengis Khan is reported to have murdered around 50-60 million people, 11% of the world's population at the time.

Nothing about genocide and mass murder is palatable, whether it's Nazi soldiers shooting jewish babies, US cavalrymen raping and beheading native american women, Rwandans burning their fellow countrymen alive in their homes. All of it comes from the minds of sick people.

The Jews are not unique to this experience. And whilst their experience in the Holocaust is one of the worst in modern times. It DOES NOT give Israel permission to slaughter tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians. The threat to Israel is complicated further by the fact that they are ILLEGALLY occupying somebody else's land, persecuting their people and stealing their resources. Under international law, they are committing crimes and likely it will be found War crimes against humanity.

Imo, people's unwavering backing of Israel, citing the historical plight of Jews to justify the slaughter of Palestinians is a massive ****ing case of cognitive dissonance.

 

You missed one word out in all of that, I reread in case I missed it...nope can't see it, so must be your total bias and absolute hatred of Israeli people, the word you missed was HAMAS...who could stop this slaughter at anytime, but choose not to. The arab nations again who could wholeheartedly support the annihilation of Hamas for what they have brought on the Palestinian people. But instead you will continue to bury your head in the sand and pretend you care.

 

Same thing really but Hezbollah are doing more damage from Lebanon than Hamas are realistically capable of now with the obvious exception of still having hostages. Houthis are a bit meh but everyone is having a go while they feel they can. All held to an infinitely lower standard than Israel. Something about the letter ‘H’.
