Why not just say whatever he wants behind closed doors? He doesn't have to play games with the media and stir things up just to make his conditions known to his employer. I found it strange, but then again when a person is asked a question on the spot and millions dissecting their words things can get misinterpreted. We will see.
My comment was meant to tell people to read the whole article If a journo wishes to extract a tiny bit of it to get clicks, then really it’s out of context EH is only voicing what loads on here are saying, does it mean everyone then goes and supports another team?
Tino immediately blasted him out the first team, and he only made 13 appearances for Swansea last season. Signs aren't great.
I distinctly remember people saying Hall must've been a mistake not long ago...I think he's played well when he's actually played I wouldn't worry about an injury at his age. If Trippier is sold they'll need a back up but as things are rb is OK imo.
I like what I've seen of Hall overall but there's no doubting that we're going to need to see a lot more of him this season. £30m+ is a huge amount of money for a player at his level of development and is still a big risk (Chelsea signed Palmer at the same time for only a few million more). I think he's probably good enough to take the LB role from Burn/Targett but am far from convinced we didn't overpay for him. I hope I'm underestimating him though! He also looks more like he'd work better with a back 3 behind him and further up the pitch, I suspect Howe may try that more this season (with Tino/Trippier pushed up on the right side) if we get another CB.
I remember when we beat Man City in the league cup, Hall played the first half as a CM pairing with Miley, which was a disaster and wasn't the best advert for him. He's gradually worked his way in and was playing regularly by the end....I dunno, he looks solid these days, but he's still improving.
They struggled but it's still crazy that we had a 17 y/o and an 18 y/o in the midfield next to each other against Man City and went on to win the game. I do wonder where Targett fits into all of this as even when fit are we likely to play him ahead of Hall or Burn? I doubt Howe is. He hasn't let us down but during his absences it feels like he's been replaced and will spend 2 years seeing out his contract as an expensive bit-part player.
He's on another level from what I saw. Finished the season the sides best player as a full back. One of the best talents in the country. There's no reason to ever see Burn or targett play there ever again hopefully. We've also got Kelly, so thank good God Burns days at left back are over.
He was outstanding and won player of the month. He was absolutely lighting it up. Sooner or later people will wake up
The gangsta rap soundtrack certainly doesn't help, and a lot of that is him just doing his job, he looked good, but as I said he's still improving, and I think there's better to come I think. Just hope him and Tino can play together regularly now.
I don't know what you were watching when he finally came in vs West Ham at home , but you're not seeing the same player and much of what's in that video is extremely difficult. I agree Livramento and him now....Trippier might be sold ?
