Cops will need to get statements from the houses near-by to where the bus was set alight, depends if they co-operate with the police....although don't see why they wouldn't, considering how close that was to their properties, especially at night as well if kids are in bed. Assuming not everyone is in on the riot.
The BBC repeated what the old bill said in their statement. Guess if the bill don't break out the riot gear then it's just a fracas
They were running away from it mate. I'm sure the police even admitted this, but I can't be arsed to search again this time of night. If you watch the video closely you will see them getting back in their cars.
Diego, just took this from a copy of the Independent... As the disorder escalated, Assistant Chief Constable Pat Twiggs said officers were forced to withdraw as it became “evident that the police was their sole target”. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/leeds-riot-harehills-news-police-b2582674.html

Well done those guys, that's what we want to see - don't care who anyone is mindless destruction is pointless, he's right you are destroying your own communities, as was said, we have to live here. I will never understand the mentality of standing by and doing nothing, and allowing a mindless few to cause havoc.
Fear of being hurt...if people are willing to set their own area on fire there's no telling what they may do to someone trying to stop them
Then they don't belong in the community and need to be removed. Although the guy that got arrested for setting the bus alight is probably going to be in a cell for a longtime anyway. Indulging in five minutes of utter stupidity in exchange for a loss of their freedom, will never make sense to me, although as I previously said, he's probably got history.
