Pandur should have saved the first goal He was too far out for the lob I dont think he was at fault for the other goals
I didn't have a tantrum, I just said I thought it was a **** up and nothing has happened since to change my mind.
I can’t believe of all the things Baz has criticised recently he’s gone for saying Pandur isn’t ready for the championship based on a friendly against top attackers
he based it on not having played in the championship before he has played in Netherlands but is it as intense? getting rid of Allsop and Ingram seems risky
Its not about the goals He just seems to have no presence in the penalty area Theres a reason he didnt play at all last season
So because 2 keepers got panned for conceding the same **** goal, instead of thinking maybe it’s because of **** goalkeeping you reckon there’s some strange agenda against 2 different goalkeepers?
What powerful headers into the corner? That header was fantastic people just ****ting themselves about the squad building so are doing as much as possible to **** on what we have here as well
Well no. If anything I thought there was a very pro-Pandur bias among our fans, for a player who none of us had seen play before last night. I guess people just think it's easier to save point blank headers into the bottom corner than I think it is. In both cases, the keeper got down and made contact, but not enough to save it; I wonder if they'd have got more sympathy if they'd not gone down at all. Perhaps getting something on it makes it look like they've failed when they don't keep it out.
I found that surprising too. But he's mentioned before that LR didn't think he was good enough with his feet, so despite me not having a problem with his performance on the goals last night, I do think Tim will probably want a specialist goalkeeper to play his style and Baz maybe knows that.
Pandur may turn out to be an absolute inspired signing and we may concede the least goals of any team in the upcoming season. Hope so. However, as it looks at this moment in time, starting the season with 3 goalkeepers who are very inexperienced at the level we play at is a great worry. Last night, regardless of Pandur’s individual culpability, did nothing to allay the fears.
