I thought the system exposed Seri, you can see why we want a proper defensive midfielder as we had no protection. It is difficult to see where Mika fits in. It wasn't Pandur's fault that goal
When working properly, the risk should end up been a bit less really. With Rosie, the danger was always really risky passes when we were close to our own goal so one mistake and thats it. With this, because we are so high we should have an opportunity to rectify a mistake, last night was perhaps an issue with position but also I really great effort from Yandas, I'm not sure too many championship players take that on with such composure.
My feeling after the game was that he would go to Saudi, a little to ponderous on the ball for the style I think. I'm not even talking about the mistakes for the goals, just in general, I think Tim will want someone more dynamic.
For a while, Tim Walter's well-known strategy of having his goalkeeper play a risky game high up the pitch in possession seemed to be the elephant in the room among City fans. Glad we're able to acknowledge it now. Ultimately this is the risky, attacking style people wanted and Tim always promised. It was never suggested that he'd make us more successful in attack without doing something radical - this was always part of the deal.
Still don’t understand what the point was of playing a full strength Fenerbahce side with such a depleted squad. We did well to keep it at 5.
I would prefer not to make mistakes such as leaving the goal unattended maybe you are ok with a goalkeeper protecting his goal less often
Im ok with a team buying into the system the coach implements. Lets see how it works down the line not after 2 weeks
The same reason Man Utd go to Asia and America. We are becoming a well known club in Turkey. That helps sell sponsorships.
Yep, 2nd goal epitomised what we all saw last season far too often. A player breezes past him, desperately need a midfielder that suits it.
Now I've seen the highlights I'm surprised Pandur is getting so much stick for the goals. They're nowhere near as bad as I expected from him based on the reaction I read last night. The header for the first one was similar to the one Allsop conceded at Coventry last season. At that time I thought it was just because it was Allsop that he was being hammered for not saving a point blank header into the bottom corner, but it seems Pandur is getting the same treatment for a similar goal.
