Yes, that was the impressive part wasn't it. Unbelievable composure as if he was just having fun playing fives with mates.

So we got smashed by a Champions League team, on their turf, thousands of miles from home, in a friendly.

By any usual Hull City metric, it’s hardly bab pant time then is it?

See what happens v Bristol and beyond.

Can we stop with the champions league stuff please? They haven't qualified for the first round proper since Deano scored at Wembley.

Hopefully he'll kick on and won't end up doing a Will Jarvis after last preseason.

In a system we’re not use to and with half a team of under 21 kids…. Oh and we had over 60% possession

The Champions League has many stages - the qualifiers are one of them.

Like the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup too.

The possessions stats were a positive, and that we retained the balance of possession despite trying to get it forward quicker.

I'm not sure how much more effective that possession was though, apart from being on the edge of their 3rd a bit more as opposed to on the edge of our own.

Yes, but in a league you don't have to be world class to qualify for the qualifiers from.

With a better final ball and someone to put the bugger in the onion bag hopefully a better outcome

Time will tell, but we need some sort of defensive shape as well.

I think a more pragmatic approach in that game avoids the dicking we got. That's despite the squad shortcomings which are getting increasingly evident.

I'm sure we'd survive. The championship is more competitive and there's greater disparity in Super lig.

What’s the point in playing a pragmatic game when the result doesn’t matter. Quite literally the perfect game to practice things that could catch us out. Let’s see how we do next week against Donny

The result won't matter then either.

I agree with your point actually. I'll judge after October

I just hope he’s given time. He looks very annoyed in his latest interview though…
