Greaves would’ve been perfect for the way Tim plays, shame we never got to see it. I listened to the 1904 podcast with the 2 assistants, one said the way they play is most difficult for the centre backs and you can definitely see that. Jones I think could probably step up, but I’d be targeting 2 additions because any injuries and I think we’d struggle with McLoughlin/Smith

 

I think that's a bit unfair, the Mourinho way certainly prevented us from creating much but his teams don't go out to completely surrender the ball and certainly not to Championship sides. We did that to them.

 

Oh I don't care about the score, they're better players and further on fitness wise.

But we've been easily suckered punched despite working it out to decent areas and we've not really threatened. Omur has looked lively but no real end product apart from 1 back stick crosses that just missed it's intended target.

We’ve worked it into good crossing positions but have Longman in the box to aim at. Swap the 2 strikers and we’d look a lot different

There's a lot to like in build up and we currently lack the cutting edge right now. A bit suspect defensively but I dont think we'd get torn apart with good additions

 

With this Walterball style, I think Oscar could really thrive and get a decent amount of goals for us.

 

This is the sort of thing I worry about under this new style of play. It may look good o the eye but I'd rather have a left winger putting crosses in from the left then a right full back.
This interchange of position can look good but what about when it gets broken down and you need to defend but everybody is in the wrong position
