His story was soon after the story of the tv doctor that went missing on a Greek island. Similar in the sense that neither had water in a very hot terrain, and one had no mobile phone on him (the doctor), while the other had about 1% battery remaining. I suppose there is a warning there for all tourists. So whilst I get your point, why is it constantly in the news, I suppose if it drives the message home to people about precautions you should take, then maybe not such a bad thing. I think a doctor who banged on about health, should have known better than to venture without water, as for the lad just naivety suppose, as to be expected at that age.
Some chav kid went missing at some chavvy holiday destination Been up to chavvy stuff according to many and has a chavvy past
No I genuinely have no idea who he was, why he was in the news. I thought he'd been murdered or something.
Ah I see, yeah just some kid that went missing on the island of Tenerife. Typical sort of party lad, went somewhere and never returned. Stuck on an 11 hour walk from where he should be, and didn't wait at the bus stop like told. Some local saw him, not her problem I get it, but still question why she didn't offer help, but maybe I'm being a tad harsh.
Sad story about a women being killed https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cl4y6458808o The last part about humberside police may have been a cause. Yeah next time rather than giving chase they should just get the rocket launchers out on the car
Vigilantes out in force in Castleford. Honestly the 'Castleford Gossip' Facebook group is the best local group for any area. This week's highlight involve a video of a 16 year old bully/scrote stealing a bike off a kid then posting a video to boast about it. Next set of videos on there are another bigger kid who's caught up to him and given him a crack. Then a video of the bully on his hands and knees kissing shoes promising never to do it again Now they're after a group of four teenagers and their families, the 4 gave another lad a good kicking just for the hell of it the other night, kicking him in the head, whilst laying on the floor too, ****ers. Rough old place Castleford
Been confirmed it was the body of Jay Slater and he'd had a fall. So similar to what happened to the tv doctor on a Greek Island.
I wonder if all the go fund me donations have been spent by his mum Probs got a new one up for his funeral
They found the boy’s body near the last known location of his phone surely that would be where you headed on day 1 hour 1 of your search no? then take it from there?
I assume it gave a general location but not an exact location, and I was reading a news item this morning where a local had said it's hard to understand how he got there... https://news.sky.com/story/jay-slat...-hard-to-understand-how-he-got-there-13178611 So now they are still searching the radius of the area to ensure something has not been missed. It makes me wonder if he tried the same as that tv doctor did on the Greek Island, that led to his death, by thinking there maybe a short cut. Sounds barmy I know, but people do silly things in times of stress, especially being dehydrated as well, he would have got desperate. I was thinking yesterday, why didn't he stay on the road, why did he walk in the wrong direction (maybe he thought it a shorter to route to alternative safety). Shame that local person who spoke to him at the bus stop didn't help him more, but suppose they wasn't to know he was going to wander off. Trouble is kids are so unpredicatable, they are not use to facing situations where they have to deal with a life and death scenario or forseeing it sadly. Although having said that, the tv doctor faired no better as an adult. I think we all just take life and well-being for granted.
Imagine walking over isolated rocky terrain in insane heat under the influence of narcotics and thinking it won't end badly.
Wouldn't have got that long for rape, child porn, injuring someone drink driving or serious assault or burglary etc. ****ing ridiculous to be jailing them when more serious criminals are being released cos the jails are too crowded.
Couldn't agree more. This is good government pr tho Protest by all means But only if we say so In other news london was brought to a standstill yday for some Muslim guy who died over a century ago on the other side of the world.
The sentence seems a bit much but I don’t think it’s wrong for them to get a custodial sentence. Boring rent-a-mob who will probably get it reduced on appeal anyway. Saw right wing Twitter being outraged over some bloke waving a green flag on top of Marble Arch tube. What was that all about?
