My future here

Hi guys.

I might as well admit I've fallen out of love with CAFC.
I'm tired of the endless owner politics and dishonesty with fans.
I find myself no longer caring how the team does this season.

With this kind of disillusionment I can no longer call myself a fan.
This forum might want to choose a new moderator who can inspire some enthusiasm. I think Charlton fans deserve that.
I've lost my faith.

I'll stay on and continue as a caretaker here for a while if other members don't mind,
but if another fan who still believes in CAFC wants to step up and look after Not606 Charlton then I'll ask @brb about passing the baton over to them.

I don't think it's fair to fans who still have passion for the Club for me to carry on.
I'm bringing nothing to this forum anymore.

 

I can quite understand that @lardiman That is the way I felt last Season. That is why I closed my Forum. You have done an excellent job on here and i am sure that posters appreciate it. If I can help in anyway I will. I know I am not liked on here but will do what is best for all posters.
I hope your enthusiasm for Charlton returns Lardy.

 

Thanks for everything, Lardy, you've done a great job. If I lived in West London I might feel the same, I don't know. Being a moderator is no job for a technophobe like me, and I've no idea why Dicky thinks he's not liked on ere. I've got great respect for his knowledge of the U-18's and U-21's.

 

I don't think you are not liked on here Dick - it would be like ITTV if everyone agreed on all subjects.

If you'd like to do a term as moderator here I will have a word with BRB.
No obligation of course. No problem if you'd prefer not to commit to that.

I won't be disappearing or anything.
I'll carry on looking after the place until somebody else wishes to take over.
I just feel this community deserves a committed fan with some fire in the belly to look after it.
Maybe with a new dimension some old members might revive their interest as well.
You never know...

I didn’t mean to give @lardiman the bird.

I support the appointment of @Dick Plumb1 as the new 606 Moderator.

His Charlton knowledge and experience make him a fitting candidate, and he will become only the second Charlton fan to moderate a Charlton forum, along with AFKA on Charlton Life.

 

PS -

Given that only lifelong Charlton fans are given positions of responsibility on here, I would like to nominate @TC (Lovely Geezer) as Deputy Moderator.

 

More than happy with you as mod whatever views you have mate , we all have our own different opinions on different matters but we very rarely fall out . Understand you may need to have a break from it all , sit back and have a beer
