That was the penalty shootout. The point was - after the reveal about his water bottle cheat sheet in the penalty shootout - players will now alter their penalties.
Most goalkeepers going into a shootout will have a list of where each player goes. It’s not a new thing? Also players don’t always go the same way anyway
Sometimes there is a pattern though. Gerrard used to alternate between sides. He also used to pull his socks up if shooting from a free-kick too, but didn't pull them up if passing/crossing
It wasn't my point, my comment or my opinion. It was mito's. I was just pointing out Solid's incorrect statement.
I know. I didn't make the comment about players now knowing to alter their penalties. Mito did. I just challenged Solid on his incorrect statement. I know. Tell mito
I know. It wasn't my point or my opinion. It was mito's. I just challenged your incorrect original statement. You could have made this comment straight away but you didn't, you doubled down on the initial comment with the Swiss penalty as an example. Maybe you brought this up since reading the intervening posts
Yeah, they've always done it. Players should know how they take a pen and when its a shoot out these guys are digging back into distant memory to come up with some reason to give a keeper for a player who's never taken one in 5 years. They might go by prior shoot outs, they might do by the dominant foot, whatever. The key for an lying taker imo is to smash the ****ing thing and hit it hard at one side.
Hit the side netting with power and doesn’t matter if keeper goes the right way. or get the ball high above mid point and keeper isn’t reaching it either.
Btw, @Mylk Thanks for doing this pool thread. It made me watch a few more games that I might have done otherwise.
Predict when your teams will go out, watch games, throw things at telly - what could be simpler? It's the other one I haven't got a clue about.
I'm letting the other one sink. But it's not a hard concept. It's essentially who will lose first against whoever holds the SGT and then predicting who will be first to lose against that team. Then who will lose first against that team... Etc.... With a 10 point bonus for predicting who will be the ultimate loser against the loser against the loser, etc at the end of the season. (In all probability this means who do you think will be bottom of the table).
