Honest question if you could keep one. Which one would it be.

I think there are players just below the expected levels some fans want that will improve us.

I maintain that we will sign upgrades to the RW position and CB position aswell. I just can’t name them.

The likes of lewin and gnonto would improve the squad nicely. I just think there's too much snobbery sometimes.

If they get better players great.

Really tricky. I think vvd is the best player out of the 3. But age wise is the oldest, but could keep going for few years.

Salah if he went then I’d wish him well and thank him for brilliant times.

TAA is tricky - in right set up he should be brilliant. Plus the age and we should be keeping him. But it’s finding that right set up for him.

I think vvd is prob hardest to replace as he holds that defende together

Don't worry you'll still see all 3 in the PL next season. A Saudi PIF club will buy all 3 then loan them to us for nowt. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Honest answer which is brilliant.

Personally I think all 3 are world class players.

Virgil is the one I would let go.

Salah will get you 15 goals plus.

And Trent is imo world class.

Salah is an odd one. Started really well, dropped off massively end of last season but - and he did it couple years ago - he came back from afcon injured and hoping it’s just that which impacted him.

Think he could either have a real struggle this year with new manager / system and him on the decline. Or he’ll have a new lease of life and bang in another 20+ season.

TAA just needs to have a sit down and work out what he wants to be. I think it’s too late to make him a proper midfielder. Back to goal, getting ball on the turn, short passing and move isn’t his strong point. He needs to be told you’re a WC attacking right back, get the ball facing forward and use your ability on the ball to go create chances and get 10+ assists every season. And in doing that, just spend an hour a day focussing in the basics of defending on getting tight and not be square on in 1v1.

if it’s one issue had with klopp is that he never just got TAA doing the basics right defensively. Maybe its because system wise we always had cover from midfield with Hendo/Gini but last year rewlly showed and although his defending isn’t as bad as media like to make out (if TAA had performed like Walker in the euros he’d be destroyed in media) he just need to improve that to a solid 6-7/10 each week and his attacking ability more than compensates for it

That’s a huge problem the TAA issue because your ina situation where you can’t justify him in any formation.

I dunno mate seems a strong link... perhaps now Mithcell is involved it'll be other targets?

Looks like he's 90% recruitment so perhaps Howe is getting less of a say ?

If we can now stop worrying about buying models who've got gammy legs most of the year then yes, I welcome the recruitment support Eddie Howe is encumbered with in the form of Mr Mitchell.

We will see if there's a change in the type but I have a feeling we will see the same mix Newcastle like a bit of Stoke City in the mix.

Well that's good - Trev tells me that Gordon Banks and Stanley Matthews were quite good.
