I think we came unstuck trying to go for all four trophies last season. I prefer us to use squad players for the CC, it means that our first team get a rest and other players get a chance. Also those who do play, know that they will be picked again in this comp, so it's good motivation. Whereas first team players might not see it as such a high priority.

That's a pretty strong looking midfield of City's - it's definitely going to be a tough game !

 

Na$ri dumped to the reserve team after his weak performance against Liverpool.

 

I think the inclusion of Nasri could actually fire up our fans - and thus our players

 

Squillaci worries me - but he needs an opportunity to show that that he can cut it, so I'm going to say that his inclusion in the team is a good thing.

I know wenger is trying to give the first team players a rest and keep them fresh for the more important EPl games, but if am been honest, we only have a chance of winning the rather inferior cup compettiotns and i would take them seriously by playing a mix of first team players and the B team.
Playing Squillaci against an inform Man City isnt really showing how wenger takes this competition seriously, and if we are to win any sort of trophy this season, the FA cup, CC cup are the only chance we have..
Hope the selected team proves me wrong though, but against Man city, i doubt it..

 

I would have picked Vermalean and Kos as the two CBs against City...Give the team a solid back four they can build on
