CB would certainly be my second position but only if the right player/prospect comes up as we're not short on numbers. I'd say Botman, Lloyd, Schar and Burn are all good enough to play CB in the top half of the league, Lascelles looked decent when called upon and Alex Murphy will hopefully get some game time to develop. If Pope is back to how he was and with Tino and Hall (maybe even Targett) developing then I think our defence is already better equipped than last year as it is and with fewer games to juggle. It wasn't just the number of games we played last year it was the level of the opposition. Many clubs rotate players out for easier CL games or the League Cup but we simply had lots of tough draws, this meant Howe was too scared to rotate and lead to injuries. If we'd got Mansfield in the cup and Brokov Slatavaria in the CL I think we'd have had fewer injuries tbph.
Holy crap on a cracker, it's all got a bit wah wah here. And naff all happening on transfers right now, assume this is something of a post Euros lull before things start up properly again.
