My favourite is Aouchiche, I think he will be great here if he gets a proper run, he feels like a proper 'streets won't forget' type of player. Taarabt at QPR vibes
Wonder how De Bris feels if this rumour and conjecture about his star players actually comes home to roost and he looses a decent proportion of his squad. I'm sure this was all explained to him before he signed up.......!!
he's already said he hopes to keep players but understands if the club accepts an offer for a player, bit on a nonsensical comment to post
It felt like a dig in a way, but as Reid has just said on Sky, football is all about opinion, the beauty of the game
If I'm basing Pembele on what I've seen he looks absolutely miles off what he promised as a young one. He looks bloody awful and I know that's being harsh and he's had an injury. I hope you are right about him @FellTop
It's very hard to judge Pembele because of injury and lack of minutes, hopefully he can get a full pre-season in him and challenge Hume.. or replace him if we sell.
Think Regis's style where the fullbacks offer a lot of width and attacking intent should suit him and help him develop... I hope.
Unsure how this would work financially for Sunderland, but hope he does well and we somehow have a clause in his contract.
Don't think there's many better defensively than Hume, all round i'd probably go Huggins though, Hume couldn't score that goal he did against Watford
I haven't heard about Egan. Hope Scout is wrong and that he'd be a good centre back at this level in a back four.
Agreed. It will be exciting to see how Pembele and Aouchiche do this year. Could see a big jump in their performance levels now they are more settled.
I think if Huggins had been fit all last season we'd have had a few low ball bids in for him this summer already.
He has no pace left and he will be out until October-ish, match fit November as a best case scenario. This is the sort of signing we should have made a couple of years ago, not now.
Have similar concerns over Egan as I did with Norwood. Heavily protected by that Sheff Urd system and how much could he actually contribute? Also, if RLBs system includes high full backs we need our centre backs to be able to cover the wide areas, not sure that is Egans game.
