I’m not sure Howe would like that job. He would be great with those players mind. But he likes the day to day training and he would get bored of doing nothing.
I’ve just had a sudden holy **** moment. Imagine if Howe went for the England job and we replaced him with Southgate. Shudders.
What’s more interesting is two fairly big names who’ve worked with Mitchell are both not working, Terzic and Kovac.

The press release made by the FA stated they have a plan if they don’t appoint before September and I believe that Carsley is that plan. He would know the bulk of the players well also. And he plays Gordon. So win win.
