There’s no question of releasing violent criminals or sex offenders early, it’s minor ones with short sentences they’re talking of releasing early

Apparently Starmer is already in touch with Trump to build on the special relationship.
It just needs the loose cannon Lammy, as our Foreign Secretary (God help us !!) to stop his anti Trump tweets if they want to build a relationship with him if he wins the Presidency in November, which I sincerely hope he does

I think Trump is on a mission of egoism... his attitude to not getting his way is his biggest stumbling block. He spouts one thing to get elected then has a different agenda ... bit Like Kamikaze!

Could well be, but under his Presidency, America's borders were more secure, America wasn't a laughing stock, and there were no major wars such as Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza

Got to be honest, it scares me to death that he’ll be re-elected as president.

the latter 2 things were unavoidable to whoever ruled the roost across the pond ..
as for secure borders the world has been getting less [ especially Europe ] robust about its borders I was holidayjng before Slovenia joined up and the border posts were manned by 1 or 2 people except on motorway or A type roads I crossed freely into Italy 2 or 3 times ... could have had £' s worth of contraband at the time nescafe was about 25%+ more expensive in Italy/ 30%+ in France than in Slovenia why?? dont know but ***s / tobacco were as well!
Did pay for 2 nights campsite in France with Nescafe on another occassion though..........

explain? it is coffee and called Nescafe ... if you tried to use Maxwell house coffee they were not interested ... used to take the large tins 1kg? bought in England from wholesaler near Cribbs canr remember the cost but 4 tins were in a box it was worth almost 70% against certain things like campsite hire / meals /beer etc talking 1975 - 1981 .....

<doh>Take your choice of illegal contraband John, and put it in place of the word “Nescafé”.

The crackdown on "low-value" shoplifting "will help a lot of little shops," Ms Whitehead said.
While retailers and shop workers have welcomed the anticipated proposals, a civil liberties group has raised concerns about criminalising people struggling to make ends meet and overburdening the prison system.
That takes the biscuit .. a civil liberties group says "let them steal other peoples livelihoods"

That just proves how fkd up Trump politics is.
It’s the politics of the ‘bloke in the pub’

Surely nobody would be utterly clueless as to take that party seriously with their views????

    Surely….??

These areas are a hive of building activity.. comments from BIRMINGHAM/NOTTINGHAM/DERBY/SHEFFIELD/LIVERPOOL all state the same it is manic!.
